Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

We',re a manufacturer of fitness equipment. I’m the founder and CEO of the organisation.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with Liki?

We needed help maintaining our online labors and were also owing edifice an app.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were responsible for?

They prepare us with a wide array of labors. The leading engagement was almost our online labors, but we ended up also contracting them for the outgrowth of a kindred app.

It was significant for us to labor both Android and iOS users, so we asked them to select a technology that enabled that through one codebase. The app also has indigenous components on both operating methods.

We outlined general requirements for the app’s design and hue program, providing examples from other websites and apps. They took these items and transferred them into a real app design.

Was there a dedicated team?

They assigned a project director who handled the complete process. I used to be a developer so I was able to talk to their rerises straightly. It was quiet good to have someone on their side holding all the strings unitedly, especially since we’re not based in the same location.

How did you come to work with Liki?

They accessed me over email, assertion that they would be visiting our location and would like to set up a meeting. We have uniform IT needs almost our website and the labors we propose, so their interrogation came at the right the time.

What is the terminal result of working with ?

We seted working with them in mid-2017. The app is close to completion—we will be attending a trade show in mid-April and program to show it there. We will release the leading rendering in May or June 2017.

Results achieved

Are there any measureable or plum results?

They came up with a solution that fulfilled all my base requirements. The app is cross-platform but accomplishs well. Those two aspects can sometimes oppose each other, so I esteem their work.

I had access to the rise code, so I could see the developed work being done. Some items quiet need polishing, but we are quiet in the soon stages. We’re working on refining the app and making it prompt for app-store deployment.

How did Liki accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

As someone with a technical background, it’s frequently been more efficient for me to talk to the developers straightly. I don’t need help relaying technical requirements, and some of those requirements can be hard for a project director to construe. Their project director was precious to me, principally owing he worked at their location. He could give feedback on what the developers were doing, and prepare a supporting role. That was significant to me.

Their developers asked a lot of questions during the outgrowth process, which confirmed that they were trying to apprehend what the app should developedly do. They also made their own suggestions, which is always encouraged. Their suggestions usually proved to be the better alterindigenouss, given their apprehension of the method. We had a lot of back-and-forths, which I compute as a plus. In the end, it led to a better app. Most of the interaction was done whichever through Skype or telephone.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?

They',re always trying to be helpful and supportive. They remained answering even when the project was held up by the developers working on the hardware part. This showed us that they care almost the project, and not only almost getting paid.

What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?

We needed a way of documenting our interaction process. We principally interacted by email during the leading stages, which got out of hand fastly. Sending back-and-forth documentation is an old-fashioned access. It worked, but it was hard to track, especially when more than one developer was implicated. The advancement we’ve made for the running repetition is to use a tool that enables better structuring. In this case, we used Trello, which is single to use and prepares a good way to track all. That’s been working well so far.

Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?

My general advice is for clients to claim a structured collaboration tool from the set, and not rely on email. Trello solved this well for us and the developers were fast to pick it up. I believe they',ve also seted using it internally.
