VR Game Dev for Video Agency

Below is a modified rendering of the review: private info excluded, innate facts kept.

Introductory information

A few words almost your organisation and personal responsibilities

Impossible Engine is a video agency with services in Oregon and Texas that creates video and VR full for our clients for scattered, web, and tradeshow use. I handle the creative staff and creative output of Impossible Engine',s Austin, TX service.

Desired goal

What issue was the provider supposed to deal with?

Argentics.io?

One of our clients approached us to create a VR game for a fast-approaching occurrence. It was a big occasion for us to grow our client base within the organisation. But our inner outgrowth resources were attached to other tasks and we didn',t have the cleverness to hit the aggressive deadline without outside help. Specifically we needed an integrated code/design team to get to a working prototype fast.

What were your objectives for this project?

The goal was a fun, attractive VR game that could be run on a gaming laptop and set up and used by our client at the upcoming occurrence as well as forthcoming occurrences. The game needed to be created in the Unity game engine since that',s the engine our shop uses and would allow us to open the project file and fix things down the line if needed. Similarly, we selected the Oculus Rift platform as it was the VR platform we had the most experience using. The initial design named for an online database to store high scores so players could contend athwart the globe though this cleverness was later removed.

Provided solution

What were the reasons for choosing Argentics.io?

We did a search locally as well as on competing sourcing platforms. I interviewed 7 vendors/individuals and met with the rest of our team to land on the two companies we liked the best. Initially, we hired Argentics along with one other vendor to quick prototype the game. The two vendors had appropriate preceding work as well as a multi-person team they could devote to the project. Argentics', protoype was far and away the winner at the leading review and we moved advanced with them.

Describe the project and the services they granted in detail.

Internally, our team, with input from our client, developed a detailed Game Design Document which we passed along to Argentics that contained a game treatment, scoring logistics and visual references. Argentics then took it from there and within a few weeks had a working prototype that we were able to play and evaluate. They designed and built all of the 3D scenes and objects as well as coded all of the interactions and inner logic. They also did all of the sound design.

Were there any dedicated handlers or teams that you worked with?

I always dealt with whichever the design lead or the project handler so I',m not sure how many nation were implicated from Argentics', side.

Results achieved

Can you share any information that demonstrates the contact that this project has had on your business?

The feedback we accepted from our client was big. Company leadership even played the game at the occurrence and it was a hit with the throng. People were lining up to play the game.

How was project handlement arranged and how powerful was it?

Argentics.io hit see deadline and were good at setting expectations. They were answering up to and including the day of the occurrence in getting last-minute changes made, bugs fixed, etc. Changes from our inner team as well as from our client were dealt with very fast. Our main interaction was through Skype chat. Language barriers were not an effect. The time separation was not a huge effect, I just had to program for it and make sure to get our reviews and feedback back to Argentics soon so they would see it during their workday. Although they were very answering behind hours as well.

What precisely do you attend to be the key specialty of Argentics.io?

What impressed me the most is how well they translated our concept into a beautifully rendered, working game in such a brief time. It looked big and it was verity veritably fun to play. I ponder their attentiveness to design veritably makes them a cut over the rest of the vendors we attended.

What should be done better, if there are any desired improvements?

None that come to mind.
