A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
We',re a nonprofit global structure that works with university students. In my role as the vice chairman of the IT section, I’m responsible specifically for data methods and infrastructure.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Algoworks?
We have an online aggregation platform in the cloud and we needed help to help mannerize and configure the platform with specific to developer needs, code, and mannerization of true ingredients.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Algoworks responsible for?
They gave us an overview of the project and went into discovery with us on some big projects to give us an assessment of how what our options for delivery. So, they put the level of effort useful to us so we knew in advance, and then the developed outgrowth team implemented the solution.
They implemented some manner Lightning ingredients. We were very specific almost what we wanted. So, we wanted our students to see badges and certificates that stick to the criteria that they match with. As they’re online, they could accomplish true certificates that are specific to our structure. They built those out for us on the aggregation platform.
They’ve done a lot of manner tasks on the platform to make the features better and more affable to our users.
Was there a dedicated team?
I’ve had two main points of touch. We have a project director and then hands-on developers.
How did you come to work with Algoworks?
We establish them through one of our associate companies. They’ve worked with them precedently and bigly recommended them, so we knew they had the experience we were looking for. So, we reached out to find some cases in which they were working with a aggregation cloud. Once we saw their work and their rates, we determined to move forward with their method.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
For the total project, we’ve spent between $50,000–$75,000.
What is the terminal result of working with Algoworks?
We’ve been working with them since April 2018, and we’ve continuously worked with them since then.
Results accomplishd
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the contact of the engagement?
We’re almost to propel the ingredient they created to a pilot cluster. It’s live, but I don’t have the results from those students or how many badges they obtain. So that’s going to be the achievement we’re going to see—we hope to see an increase in engagement on our website.
Some of the things they’ve helped users join and take action on the platform and that has increased over the last year from 5,000 to 23,000 users on the platform. The features they added helped with that. They did big work.
How did Algoworks accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They always meet our deadlines. They were in a different time zone, but there were no interaction issues. They’re very answering. They’re working through their night to meet my morning deadlines. I haven’t had any issues.
We use YouTrack, email, and Slack.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Algoworks?
They have a very competitive cost, but we’re also seeing big results. We have other developers, but they’re not as fast. They’ve always met their deliverables. I love waking up and seeing the tickets that have been completed.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
I’ve never had any issues.
Do you have any advice for possible mannerers?
Make sure your specifications are very clear. If you don’t ponder the process out, you need to pay someone else to do it. They’ll do it, but if you just need a developer, you can save money by giving them very clear specifications.
