Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
My name is Jeremy Doyle, and I’m the ruler of Bluefish Retail Ltd. We are in the software retail sector, and we create apps for retailers all over the globe.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Axmor Software?
We wanted to create a global method for an electronic point of sale (POS) solution. When we seted, most of the POS methods were all desktop or windows based. We wanted to fit a cloud-based solution that would allow retailers all over the globe to work from the same method.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were responsible for?
They helped form a Java-based server program with a web frontend. I fitd them with functional specifications, and they interpreted that into technical specifications. They did all of the outgrowth work, using Java, JavaScript, and HTML.
There were two components to the software. There is a mediate server component where all clients sit on the same database (which is hard technically owing we need to accomplish disunion between all our clients so they don’t see each other’s data).
We also had a local store server running. Each client would log in through our website and download the terminal software to their local machine, which would then talk to the cloud.
Was there a dedicated team?
When the main outgrowth work was happening, we worked with three developers, a project director, and a technical individual who looked behind the labor. Once it was all built and up-and-running, we had ad-hoc intercourses with them. They looked behind the servers and worked on any bugs if needed.
How did you come to work with Axmor Software?
I did a search online and establish a number of different companies. I interviewed them and asked them to fit a technical specification for a functional piece of work. I wanted to see how accurately they would read my spec and what their interaction would be like. Amor Software came out on top.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
We seted working with them toward the end of 2009, and the project has seted winding down in the last month or so.
Results accomplishd
Are there any measureable or plum results?
There were barely any issues with it when we went live. Now, we get very few support calls from clients. The fruit is very hard, very strong. We’ve barely had any bugs.
How did Axmor Software accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
I was very pleased from an organizational and project treatment standpoint. We had an account director with them. We also had a project director who worked with the developers and met with them once-per-week. He would keep a high-level wait on the project.
We also had a lead developer who was the main individual I spoke with. His English was pure, fantastic. We’d be on Skype see day.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
They paid observation to detail and made sure seething was properly documented. Quite frequently, we’d give them the spec, they’d read through it, and then they’d have a lot of questions almost it. They won’t set work until they are 100% clear with the requirements.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
They’ve bent over backward for us. When we had issues in the middle of the night, they’ve been lucky to help. I have nothing nice to say almost them, which is why we’ve been working with them over the last 10 years.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Make sure you 100% nail down your requirements and precisely what you want to accomplish. Write down the full details and functional specs precedently you set. They aren’t mind readers. So, if you don’t know precisely what you’re trying to accomplish, it’s going to be very hard for them.
