Salvaged Sitecore Implementation For Leading Global Information Management Firm
Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
Could you briefly draw your structure?
I recently left my structure in December to take a hiatus. The role that I had when I worked with BrainJocks was the global senior ruler of marketing and interactions for Recall, which is a worldwide information treatment organisation.
Desired goal
Could you draw the business challenges you were attempting to address when you initiated the relationship with BrainJocks?
One of the biggest challenges we had from a positioning perspective, both internally and externally, was that we had a very poor and inaccessible website. Recall acts in 23 countries worldwide and in 17 different speechs. One of the challenges was that we didn’t have a congruous look and feel. We didn’t have a way to propose global full but, at the same time, fix that we had local relevance to the correct audiences. We were trying to run a global business and have a global brand. At the same time, we had sales managed at the local level athwart each of the 23 countries. This resulted in some grave growth barriers for us, and we wanted to cast them in one fell swoop.
What I veritably wanted was to create an completely new, consolidated website. What I veritably wanted was a website that allowed users to come in, see all at a very high level, what Recall did, what our labors are, and so on. Once they selected their appropriate country, they’d then be able to search for specific labors and proposeings exclusive to that country. It would powerfully empower a user to come to our leading website to gather some general information, and allow them to find very detailed, nuanced information that was plainly appropriate to them.
For sample, we act in eleven different countries in Europe. The U.S. was categorized as one country and one country. We plainly needed English for the United States, but we also needed it for each of the eleven European countries we actd in. That was the easy part. The more hard part was also incorporating indigenous speech compatibility for each of the eleven European countries. This one thing was going to be a huge task for us, but also terminally significant.
We began this endeavor with a separate vendor that was referred to us by one of our employees. This particular vendor came in and began working alongside us, working on the design and outgrowth, and attempting to deal with all of our manner enhancements and configurations. As we moved thuneven the project, it became obvious to us that our vendor was way out of their component. They hadn’t dealt with a project of this size or complexity precedently, and they were veritably struggling to liberate powerful solutions to us on time and within budget. By the time we were working on edifice out the backend for our European countries, we realized that they couldn’t incorporate indigenous speechs in accession to English. At that point, it was over, and we had to limit the relationship. That’s when we determined to find another vendor to salvage our project.
Provided solution
Could you draw the aim of the work liberateed by BrainJocks?
The core issue that we had was that we had selected Sitecore as our preferred CMS [full treatment method]. The vendor that we were working with precedently did not know Sitecore very well. They had designed the website and began programming the website in a way that was not going to be supported. BrainJocks conducted an audit of what was already built and liberateed us some pretty uneven news. The veracity was they had to disrobe the complete thing almost, I would say 80 percent of what had already been done, and then recreate the website from the ground up.
That’s where we began with them. They came in, and we went right back to the drawing board. It took them almost three or four weeks to undo all that had been done and began to recreate the website correctly. I was loaded with force and care as this rolled out owing we had stringent requirements and deadlines for the project.
Could you prepare a perception of the size of this project in monetary provisions?
It I recall correctly, the implementation and recreate cost us more than $1 million.
When was your new website relaunched?
They completed it in soon January or February of 2011.
Results achieved
In provisions of results, could you share any statistics, metrics, or end-user feedback you’ve accepted that would prove the powerfulness of the work they’ve liberateed?
One of the things that we had done from a marketing perspective, but not completely kindred to the website, was mannerer engagement contentment surveys. One of the areas that fell brief frequently was our website uspower. This is something that we did on an annual basis. After we transferred to the new website, one of the key metrics for us was making sure that mannerers understood the different lines of business that the organisation had to propose, which was previously flat. People usually bought one labor. They had no idea that we proposeed others that might have been appropriate to them. Once we relaunched our website, that all changed. We’ve had accounts of users indicating that the website is far easier to use and navigate than precedently, and that finding appropriate information is also a breeze.
When working with BrainJocks, is there anything you’d attend sole almost their access or outgrowth methodology that distinguishes them from other vendors?
Yes. The reason why I’m lucky to talk to someone almost BrainJocks is that there are two sole components almost them. First of all, they’re flashing at what they do. From a technical perspective, they’re surpassing. They know Sitecore thuneven and thuneven. Secondly, they’re an terminally creative bunch, especially for a firm that does so well with technical outgrowth. They veritably have both areas covered.
Another significant component is their access to client relationships. Unquestionably, they are absolutely 100 percent honorable and pellucid with their clients. They have commendable ethical standards and uprightness. It’s hard to find a vendor with that level of commitment and accountpower.
In review, are there areas that you ponder they could better on as a labor preparer?
I had no issues with them. In marketing, I’ve worked with a ton of vendors both in the creative space and in the technical space. If there is one stricture that I could levy, it would be that I ponder sometimes they almost downplay their power. This is an terminal locality. I ponder you need to keep that in mind. When they leading came in, they said, “We can do this.” Once I began working with them and things progressed, Brian, in particular, was just incredibly creative. He’d come up and say, “What if we did this?” We were sort of like, “Why didn’t you open your mouth earlier?” kind of thing. I ponder anew I can’t underscore sufficient how forceful and intense of a time and locality this was.
