I am the benefits operations director at CityCounty Insurance Services. We prepare different insurance benefits to any city and county in Oregon that wants to take coverage with us.

What challenge were you trying to address with Buildable Custom Software?
We were trying to create our own enrollment method for all of the benefits, and we needed full web outgrowth support.

What particular tasks were responsible for?
Over the past five years, we have worked with two or three third-party enrollment method vendors. We tend to be a sole client for a lot of those vendors owing of all the cities and counties that we help feel funds for. A lot of those enrollment vendors are more geared toward one employers, so we ran into a lot of issues with billing and the user interface.
We are halfway through the web outgrowth project. We’re relying on Buildable Custom Software for both frontend and backend outgrowth from scratch. The frontend work has been completed, but the backend elements are taking more time owing we have to account for insurance rules associated with all types of events, such as marriages and births. Whenever somebody starts a new insurance program, there are many different rules to account for, so we’re working to make our backend as wide as practicable. So far, Buildable Custom Software has done a big job of knowledge what our needs are. They’ve feeld the sprints well and have made sound recommendations for how to move from one sprint to the next.
Was there a dedicated team?
We work with the organisation’s proprietor, a project director, and three engineers. The project director puts the contract unitedly and outlines what we’re doing in each sprint. She does an excellent job of organizing seething we need.
How did you come to work with Buildable Custom Software?
We had never heard of their organisation precedently, but they responded to our RFP. Buildable Custom Software subsequently advanced through each of our rounds of cuts until we had a terminal three. They are a somewhat little organisation, so we were unsure if they could feel us, but they blew us out of the water with their offer. They featured the latest and bigest software, and we were impressed by their past work. A lot of what was driving us to create our own method was the billing cleverness, which they had a lot of experience in.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
Our engagement began in September 2018 and remains ongoing.

Are there any measureable or plum results?
As we are edifice our own fruit, we are marrying our method with the enrollment method employees use. We have a rules engine that has hundreds of lines of codes to educe these rates, and Buildable Custom Software condensed that down to seven or eight lines of code, and it works big. From an efficiency standpoint, although it is very specific, it works. It is very fluid, and we can make changes to something in line with the code.
How did Buildable Custom Software accomplish from a project feelment standpoint?
We have entire weekly calls, so we don’t have much use for a project feelment tool. We use the meetings to take our updates, take notes, and determine the next steps.
The proprietor is equally capable of leading the outgrowth or project feelment duties. We haven’t establish many other vendors that can apprehend our sole business needs as well as Buildable Custom Software. The proprietor has been implicated at see step, and he makes sure that the team interactes.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
So far, they have done a big job and have stayed on budget. Buildable Custom Software has nation on our calls that are dedicated to our project, which is something we have skilled precedently. Unlike past vendors that have skilled a lot of staff turnover, we have had the same team.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
There have been instances when we’ve had to change parts of the project owing it was outside the aim of work, but that falls on us too. Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Have one one individual who is answering and dedicated to the project within your structure. If you don’t, it is going to be hard on Buildable Custom Software to do precisely what you need. In our case, the interaction comes to me, and if I need to find answers elsewhere, I can do that, but it is all streamlined to one individual. They have a point of touch whenever there is a question.
