Introductory information
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the founder and CEO of Armada Delivery Solutions located in Kuwait. We act as the middleman in the logistics and traders activity by providing software that links the logistics activity with nation who want to locate delivery requests. We prepare labor through three different gates: an on-demand delivery gate, and API junction gate, and a street treatment solution. Our clientele comes from different industries, but all have one need, which is last mile delivery. They like that fulfilled and we link them to our different preparers and suppliers that are hosted in our method. We have 12 employees.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Codesushi?
Our CTO left the organisation and left me without tech support and we are a tech oriented organisation. I hired some freelancers to fill in the gap, but I needed a more strong support method that allowed me approach to different endpoints to DevOps, Android, backend, frontend, and debugging.
Provided solution
What was the aim of their involvement?
We began off providing them with what we needed and the deliverables. I already had my own story’s Pivotal Tracker. I asked Codesushi to join that kind of board and instrument my story of the pitfalls, gaps, issues, and bugs there. They fixed those issues. Then we migrated onto another platform they use regularly named Breeze where they structured their own work using backlogs, to do lists, code review names, and condition arrogance in compliments to our end and their end. At the end, we pushed seething onto a Sandbox environment, and finally, to origination.
My on-demand, one screen platform allows traders to locate delivery requests, which are transmitted to the drivers via our Android app. There were a lot of bugs on both ends of this spectrum. They debugged and stabilized the fruit, allowing me to get back to operating behind stopping for at smallest two or three months.
Then they added new components that transformed our platform. When traders locate delivery requests one behind the other, the order trader component smartly merges those orders based on neighborhood and sends one driver to complete those orders, providing that driver with an optimized way to fulfill those deliveries. At the other end of the equation, another component tracks those orders by the end consumer. When the traders claim the delivery request, the end consumer sees an SMS that opens up a web page, which allows the consumer to track the delivery much like FedEx and UPS.
What is the team dynamic?
We began off with one account director and two dev guys, one frontend, one full stack, and one Android. Slowly we were able to stabilize our project and go back to our regular business. We grew to where we were then able to hire our own CTO who is now managing Codesushi and onboarding our own team. They allowed us to bridge a huge gap that would have otherwise handicapped our operations.
How did you come to work with Codesushi?
I had a job posting on angel.co and Codesushi responded. Finding a CTO takes more time than I could produce. I looked almost, but the only one that showed me the support, feedback, and knowledge of what I wanted was Codesushi. I met them and they told me what they could do. I was in need of a fast fix. I was able to sign a contract with them and hit the ground running. They were able to fastly help me and low themselves to apprehend the concept fastly. I veritably liked that they grasped the concept fastly. They gave a lot of input and feedback almost what I was doing and how I could do better.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in February 2017 and the work is ongoing.
Results achieved
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the contact of the engagement?
It took almost a month for them to read our primary code, to familiarize themselves with our business logic, and to apprehend our different endpoints and how things work. After that, things began progressing faster. Bugs were fixed faster. Features were instrumented faster. Deliverables began off at three and a half weeks, but then decreased to two weeks and then to one week.
How did Codesushi accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
Perfectly. They attribute a project director who adjoins and attributes roles and projects to seeone and makes sure seeone is fulfilling those projects. He adjoins with the tech team at the organisation as well to make sure that things are being worked at par. For clients who don’t have a CTO, it veritably helps if you have a project director to apprehend the tech lingo and construe it for you.
We use Bench. Our meetings sometimes demand sharing screens and sharing stats. We use Skype, Slack, and WhatsApp to adjoin depending on where our different parties are and what the needs are. They’re very pliant in compliments to their interaction methods. We work mainly with Breeze, a project dashboard where each project has a card created at see stage with its own time estimation. They perpetrate to that estimation and sometimes it’s prepared even earlier. For sample, one estimation on the board is seven hours and they completed it in five.
What did you find most forcible almost them?
I’ve never dealt with a organisation precedently as opposed to staff hired in-house or freelancers. It’s been a good travel so far. They fastly understood my business logic and went through my codes to apprehend how to attack. That was veritably forcible owing usually, it takes much more time and effort on my part to make nation apprehend the business logic. Their team is very pliant and they can fastly attribute members to the team. For sample, I needed a fast, extra Android dev and they were able to fastly attribute that individual given that they have goods in Poland and Los Angeles. Also, they prepare support athwart time zones, which is veritably significant.
Are there any areas they could better?
No, I’ve been lucky with their labors. I don’t see any fallbacks, to be honorable.
