Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I am the co-establisher of BusinessDay, a tool that incorporates present productivity science and investigation into a tool for leveraging task treatment to boost team productivity. Our running centre is on enabling accounting teams to close their month and year-ends faster.
The organisation was established in December of 2015 and we are located in California and Texas.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with CodeSushi?
Both my associate and I work full-time and have other businesses, so we needed to find someone who could fastly instrument new components and fixes into our tool.
Provided solution
What was the aim of their involvement?
We had put unitedly a bare-bones prototype but when users wanted new components added or changed, we didn’t have the time to do it. We needed someone who was a PHP expert to lead the outgrowth. We leading talked to the proprietor of CodeSushi and then we were given a director as a point of touch to coordinate the work. The developers were the ones doing the developed work, and the turnaround time was pretty fast. They adapted an existing software solution named Kanboard, which is an open rise Kanban tool that provides an API. Using Kanboard as an initial platform, we leveraged CodeSushi to create a huge component set that was not the roadmap for this tool.
How did you come to work with CodeSushi?
On other occasions, I',ve gone through different freelance boards to find agencies but never felt I was getting value for my money. After a long process, I establish CodeSushi through Upwork. The proprietor was one of the initial rerises who did outgrowth for our project this time last year.
How much have you invested with CodeSushi?
We have spent between $10,000 and $50,000 on the project so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in January 2016 and the project is ongoing.
Results achieved
Could you share any evidence that would prove the productivity, condition of work, or the contact of the engagement?
They added a test suite to the tool, which I didn’t anticipate. This added expressive value and increased our feedback cycle on pull requests. They',ve also altered a expressive portion of Kanboard',s inner logic to make it more suitable for financial provisions.
How did CodeSushi accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
The directors were very answering and early. I would file an effect in GitHub and they would give suggestions on a solution. All the code written has been excellent. There were some less effects as far as sharing code between our GitHub companies, but this was resolved fastly.
We’ve worked with one project director and two to four other developers who are rotated since we don’t have a congruous road map at the instant.
What did you find most forcible almost CodeSushi?
They are wonderfully interactive. At firs the speech barrier may have been an effect but they have betterd by leaps and bounds in the area. Almost everyone on their team is fully fluent in English. They direct a reasonable rate compared to other senior developers because how fastly they work.
Are there any areas CodeSushi could better?
Besides the GitHub effect, not veritably. At the opening, there were some project treatment effects, but I ponder they were experiencing growing pains. Having a dedicated project director has made all the separation!
