Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the founder of a collective media full marketing organisation, and we principally work with e-commerce brands. We propose them a widget that facilitates the use of their e-commerce tools and curates all full, all while making it shoppable on different collective media networks. They can aggregate their full, tag each of their posts and fruit pages, and empower website viewers to browse and make purchases.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Digicorp?
In March 2013, I had the idea to create a widget for collecting client testimonials. The collective front was keep, so I extended out to Digicorp for help.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were responsible for?
Digicorp has been implicated since the set of the organisation as my match on the outgrowth side. They’ve made some additions to what I initially presented by navigating my ideas to come up with a strategy and overall program.
We built an initial prototype of the platform, and then kept continuously iterating and improving it. Digicorp used CakePHP to help me design and outgrowth the platform, and also helped me maintain all DevOps operations on the server side behind the fruit seted scaling.
We came to apprehend our clients’ needs once we seted selling and talking to them, which is what helped us to swell the platform. They wanted something like collective testimonials rather than static ones. This is when we leading sumd with and seted curating collective reviews from Facebook and Twitter.
Concurrently, Instagram seted picking up, and e-commerce merchants discovered that many nation were sharing fruits they were purchasing from true brands by using hashtags. It would be a big idea to sum different full using hashtags and show it on e-commerce websites, but Instagram’s photos, at the time, weren’t clickable. Even though nation could like or pursue a page, there wasn’t anything else we could do with it.
This was the biggest pain point we identified, owing we needed to prepare a link on an Instagram profile, and then direct that link to an e-commerce website which displayed the same photos. The only separation is that on the website, photos are now shoppable and tagged with fruit pages.
What is the team dynamic?
The founders were present during the conceptual stage, but behind that, the business analyst/fruit director and full-time developer became more implicated. We used 2 full-time developers and a designer on an as-needed basis. We also used a DevOps team limb when required.
How did you come to work with Digicorp?
I’d known almost them for a long time owing I went to the same university as their founders, and I’d also seen news almost them. I saw the big jobs they’d done on other projects, so I extended out in order to see how they could help, and they presented some nice solutions. I liked their overall access, so I determined to work with them.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
I don’t relimb the total cost precisely, but I had a $15 per hour rate. We had a 2-year engagement, so I spent roughly $40,000–$50,000 on their services.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
I seted working with them in March 2013. The initial create was artistic in 3 months, but it was more of an evolving fruit that required continuous, new requirements. The bulk of the work was completed sometime in 2015.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
Overall, we were able to cluster about 4,000 initial clients, and we launched the app on different e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, and EventBrite. We had 5-star reviews and a lot of downloads on all of them. We were also excellently snug on the income side, which continued to increase.
How did Digicorp accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
I didn’t mark my requirements correctly in the commencement, but the collaboration became very nice eventually. They were able to prepare timelines of execution based on my requirements and attribute additional resources in order to liberate agreeably.
We used Basecamp for sharing most of the tasks, and Trac for the bugs side. I personally used Asana to interact with the team.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
We were always trying to extend the fruit market, and it was profitable to have this kind of associate. Many companies create a fruit, complete it, and then fail to maintain it in an ongoing relationship. Our relationship with Digicorp is a peculiar, continual engagement, which helps my fruit evolve. When I seted creating my in-house team, I could work nicely in conjunction with Digicorp.
I esteem their ownership and power to fetch a new perspective. Many times, I gave them requirements, but didn’t veritably apprehend how they needed to be implemented. Digicorp came up with their own suggestions and got their technical leads implicated in order to expound what they were proposing. Instead of focusing on completeing features, they try to do the right thing to create the best fruit.
Digicorp is not a transmitted outsourcing organisation that completes tasks and runs away, but instead, they own it like it’s their fruit.
What fronts of their work would you like to get improved?
When we seted, they were not supporting all the latest technologies. My engagement was principally for a CakePHP-based and LAMP stack platform, but I believe they’ve now seted supporting the latest technologies.
We eventually figured out the right project treatment methodology, but we had some initial glitches touching estimates. The work took a pliant longer, which is expected for a new fruit, but I would embolden them to regood their estimation and forecasting abilities.
Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?
I would surely commend them and admonish clients to take them on as a associate. It’s significant to view a developer as a associate in edifice an end-to-end fruit rather than as a prototype createer. Digicorp can be a true associate that fetchs a vision to verity.
