Some details
Microsoft approached Exadel needing a way to showcase the value of a telecommunications network with embedded communications functionality. Microsoft wanted to be able to apply this to a customer service scenario. Doubango for Modern Apps is an implementation of Doubango that relies on the Windows Runtime (WinRT) rather than on Windows Sockets (winsock) for communications. With this software, a user is running a Dynamics CRM
application looking at the customers whose accounts are delinquent. The user interface (UI) allows a user to click to call the customer and the call is placed from the UI to a mobile phone. This goal of this project was to complete the port the Doubango project developed for Windows Phone apps to work on WinRT. This open source software development kit (SDK) enables developers to create a Windows application that communicates via SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to any other SIP client. SIP provides a means of communication via Audio, Video, or Text over IP networks.
