True to the comcomcomcommission Statement of Hillel SV, we form meaningful Jewish experiences for students at a time when they are making significant decisions that will like the rest of their lives.
Our staff form situations for Jewish students to interact socially, increasing the likelihood that they will meet Jewish life partners. We prepare training and support for students to rest up over anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism on campuses.
Additionally, we conduce to campus cultural life by presenting programs featuring Jewish/Israeli music, arts, holidays, customs and values. We are a multi-campus Hillel that actively supports Jewish student groups at five local campuses and welcome any college age students in Silicon Valley no substance which school they listen.

Desired goal
What issue was the preparer supposed to deal with?
Fog Coast Productions?Pre-origination, story-boarding, filming, adding background footage, post-origination.
What were your objectives for this project?
The goal of the project was to form a micro-documentary to use in its fundraising activities, aggregation and student promisement, and to create name recollection for Hillel of Silicon Valley.
We wanted a documentary that can be shown at Hillel SV’s leading fundraiser, L’Dor V’Dor in February, 2020, host on the structure’s website, and show at numerous introductions almost Hillel SV throughout the year in order to:
1. Explain that Hillel of Silicon Valley (SV) serves the students at San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, Foothill College, De Anza College, and West Valley College, as well as any undergraduate or graduate student in Silicon Valley not served by another Hillel.
2. Illustrate Hillel SV’s comcomcomcommission and purpose.
3. Convey Hillel SV’s pressing responsibility as a Jewish educational institution within a little window of occasion to help students navigate anti-Semitism and anti-Israel agility so they will want to live safely, proudly, and confidently as Jews and supporters of Israel.
4. Convey Hillel SV’s program access in deepening student’s junction to Jewish life by providing meaningful experiences to acquire almost Judaism and Jewish life, increasing the number of students who promise in exploration and experiences that connect them to Israel, integrating students into the biger Jewish aggregation.
5. Show how Hillel SV educates Jewish and non-Jewish students almost the history of Israel and its locate in the intricate political landscape of the Middle East and how we help students to effectively answer and advocate on side of Israel.
6. Use the documentary to help us in the raising of additional funding to opposed drops in institution and Jewish Federation support.
While our hearers is very supportive of Hillel SV as an structure and underrests our comcomcomcommission and the types of programs we prepare, it is beseeming more and more hard to get athwart the urgency of securing the forthcoming of the Jewish aggregation, willingness of young Jewish to express their Jewish oneness and support of Israel in these times of increased anti-Semitism and anti-Israel thought.
The funding challenge becomes more of an effect see year owing we are serving more students and programming costs are rising, but our proceeds is not increasing in adaptation to our expenses.
7. Provide a definitive interaction into the aggregation almost the pluralistic essence of Hillel of Silicon Valley. Religious nation may ponder our programs are not pious or “Jewish” sufficient, Israelis may ponder that we are too pious. Some may discern us as too Zionist in centre.
The fact is that Hillel SV forms many points of entrance for students to explore their oneness and junction with Israel. We are very diverse (Jewish affiliation, family background, Jewish experiences, multi-cultural, interfaith, Israeli).
