Through 1987-1990 John gained valuable agency experience at Atkinson Public Relations from longtime Nashville PR veteran Sue Atkinson. In 1999 it was back to the agency world for John as he joined Trone Inc. in High Point NC. Rusty Wright Creative Director
A strategist art director and writer all rolled into one creative fluency is Rustys specialty. A renaissance man in the truest sense he understands the creative process soup to nuts inserting his expertise even while the strategists are codifying their business plan.
He has written RFPs performed SWOT and GAP analysis and spearheaded perception mapping and naming exercises for business. He writes creative rationale creative briefs radio and TV scripts editorial online content and product copy. He has been awarded Gold Addys for logos and identity systems along with Neenah Paper Gold for stationery systems.
Rusty believes passionately that great marketing communication is not about making things pretty or merely regurgitating facts. Nor is it about pleasing your audience. It is about connecting with them. It is about relevant and resonating content driven by sound strategy. It is about crafting a compelling message with which the reader can identify. Its about understanding a little (okay a lot) about human nature and what makes people tick. Thats why he reads behavioral science texts like Influencing Human Behavior by H. A.
