iOS & Android Dev for Podcasting App
Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I',m the establisher of a podcast player app. Our fruit integrates collective media into the listening experience.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Launchpeer?
We hired them to help with the beta rendering of our app at the very commencement of our outgrowth process.
Provided solution
What was the aim of their involvement?
I expected them to educe a functional beta app for iOS and Android, using React Native. Initially, we began with a larger aim, which we pared down excellently a bit as we went. We hoped to pull Twitter full into the app that was appropriate to the podcasts that users listened to. We also wanted to add direct messaging components and a click creation component. In the end, we had a bare-bones player with Twitter full in the listening and discovery experience.
The project began very well, and I was impressed by the contracting process. They were very entire, and it took almost a month to sanction the contract. In the leading two months, I was impressed by their despatch, and our initial expectancy was to have a working fruit within almost 12 weeks. In the end, we spent ten months on this project, and we just cut ties with them. There were just too many bugs, and we ultimately transferred the project back to our inner team.
What is the team compound?
In the commencement, we worked with one main educeer and a project director. There was also a client achievement director who worked in the background. Along the way, the directors and a subordinate educeer left while we were working unitedly. There was a lot of turnover.
How did you come to work with Launchpeer?
My co-establisher establish an ad for them on Instagram.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of the project was almost $70,000, which we paid in two-week installments.
What is the status of this promisement?
We began in October 2018, and we terminated the contract at the end of August 2019.
Results achieved
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the contact of the promisement?
We',ve fully severed ties with them. I was hoping to go to market within almost three months, but we',re already almost a year into the process. We quiet don',t have an MVP, and we',re currently looking for a new technical establisher to help us complete the project innerly.
How did Launchpeer accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
Their project treatment was ok, but the outcomes weren',t there. We had to pull them along the way, and they pushed back at almost see turn. We were ready to be pliant and make changes, and the fruit did befit sharper over time. They were well-inclined, and we tried to keep interaction as respectful as practicable.
Overall, they were very hard to work with, and we had to renegotiate separate times. We borrowed a lot to make this app, and we quiet have nothing to show for it. The relationship veritably soured. They didn',t prioritize my project, and seemed to only be in it for the money.
What did you find most forcible almost them?
At this point, I can',t ponder of anything specific that they did well. I have reviewed them already on other websites, and they have responded, but I don',t care to promise with them any longer.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Be careful. There weren',t many reviews useful when we leading promised them, so we didn',t have any information from other clients. They',ve somehow managed to get 5-star ratings from clients, but I don',t know how true those reviews are. They posted a real credential on their website that they attributed to me, which I asked them to displace. That kind of conduct is unethical. Reach out to the reviewers who have rated them poorly and ask them almost their experience.
