MVP for College Organization Platform
Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the establisher of a setup named Alma Mater. We’re a software platform that allows college and university structures to adjoin with their alumni and fundraise straightly within the app.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?
I’d been using another developer who was simply too inexperienced and couldn’t meet the project demands, so I ended that contract and hired Maxiom to take over all of the app outgrowth and coding.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Maxiom Technology responsible for?
They seted by preparing the minimum viable fruit (MVP). I gave them a concept to work with and they’ve built the app from scratch. They used a Bootstrap form template as a base and are modifying it to include the ingredients I need. The backend is built with Ruby on Rails and they’re using Ember.js for the frontend work.
One of the most significant app requirements was a user-friendly alumni database. Organization administrators need to be able to add and modify records, so I wanted that to be straightadvanced. The app also allows admins to design and send mass newsletters. Another key ingredient implicated some accessional frontend work to let each structure form a separate alumni landing page for users. The terminal main ingredient is the integrated donation platform.
Was there a dedicated team?
I initially worked with their establisher, who serves as the project director, and I was assigned a full-time developer once the project got underway.
How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?
I establish them via online search and extended out to them through email. We had a phone converse almost what I was looking for with the MVP, they gave me a cost cite, and I determined to move advanced with them.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
The full project cost $45,000.
What is the terminal result of working with Maxiom Technology?
We seted working unitedly in July 2018 and the project is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
They cited me ten weeks for the project, but by the time five weeks had passed, they’d completed 80% of the work. They’re currently running QA testing and making less adjustments to this pilot rendering of the app precedently we release it. They’ve also done a big job of meeting my specifications as far as ensuring that the platform is intuitive and user-friendly.
How did Maxiom Technology accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
There’s never much delay between when I extend out to them and when I take a response. We touch base using email and then handle the project in Asana. Additionally, I esteem how pliant they are if I want to add or change ingredients. They’ve adapted to multiple changes during the project while quiet working very efficiently.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Maxiom Technology?
They looked over my requirements and without said they’d be capable of delivering. Not only were they true to their word, they completed the project fastly and added accessional ingredients that improved on my initial concept.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
I’d like to see a pliant more interaction almost how work progresses on the backend owing it’s not always reflected on the frontend. It’s not that nothing is happening, but since I’m not as savvy almost coding, it can be hard to justice what progress has been made.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
As a setup, don’t welcome the leading developer who’s ready to take the job. It’s tempting, but you’re better off hiring someone who will do the work correctly the leading time. In accession, it helps if you program your app thoroughly precedently you set. I had wireframed mine and that made it much easier for them to assess how long the project would take and how possible my ideas were.
