A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I work in venture chief with Altpoint Ventures, which is part of a bigger investment firm, Altpoint Capital. Our firm is also implicated in special equity and hedge funds.

What challenge were you trying to address with Neuron?
We needed a vendor to help one of our portfolio companies with web outgrowth, promo videos, and kindred work.

What particular tasks were Neuron responsible for?
They created a promo video to aid an app for our portfolio organisation, a modeling agency. After we approved their storyboards, they made the video and invited actors for voiceovers.
They also did full-stack outgrowth of a fitness app with answering web and iOS renderings. The app functions as a gate for fitness videos, allowing users to upload their own recordings, which other users can view. We accepted wireframes on a daily basis in order to make corrections on them, and they gave us monthly creates behind that.
They built the web rendering as a wrapper that could run as an app, while the iOS rendering was coded in Swift. They created login screens, a paywall, and music layovers, including support for Apple Music and Spotify.
Was there a dedicated team?
Soudy (Co-Founder and Senior Advisor, Neuron) worked as the fruit director, and Chris (Senior UX Designer and Strategist, Neuron) later helped him with UI/UX. We worked with another team limb for technical outgrowth. A couple of our inner team limbs helped on this project, controlling the code and doing QA.
How did you come to work with Neuron?
Soudy was on the board of a UX news and blog website that I liked. One reason we ended up choosing Neuron was their fast response to our request for a offer. We met for 60–90 minutes to expound what we wanted, and they had a offer to us the next day.
How much have you invested with them?
Overall, almost $100,000. The video was almost $30,000.
What is the terminal result of working with Neuron?
We began working with them in September 2016 and the engagement concluded in January 2018.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
We presented the project to some stakeholders, who gave us real feedback. The app did not accomplish as well as expected, but that was owing of our inner strategy. We’re currently looking to sell the app. We were satisfied with the functionality and reliability of their deliverables, and we contracted with them for other projects. They worked on a second rendering of the fitness website and app, based on ongoing strategy work.
How did Neuron accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
Soudy and Chris were both powerful interactors. They gave us fair estimates for budgeting and scheduling and exceeded both projections only slightly. Our inner team posted all to Jira and we used that to track the project with Neuron.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Neuron?
We were impressed that there were no major errors in the budget or timeline.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
No, I can’t ponder of anything.
Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?
I ponder Neuron underestimated the cost of the project, but they wanted to respect the budget they promised. I’d commend that clients be careful almost the budget for that reason: it can fracture at some point. Clients should program thoroughly and keep some reservation funding.
