Mercy Housing Northwest is a nonprofit that provides affordable housing in Washington state and parts of Idaho. I’m the befallrences and marketing director.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Playfish Media?
They are the videographer for our befallrence video. This is our second year working with them. We do a fundraising befallrence see year. We play a video as part of the program which leads into our donation accost. It’s powerful and impactful and allows the hearers to connect and feel inspired almost the work we do. Hopefully, that inspires them to donate to our cause.

What particular tasks were Playfish Media responsible for?
They created 2 videos for us, one for each year. Before filming, we brainstormed with the producer almost our intentions. The producer took notes and compiled a constructiond delineation. They filmed during meal prep and during an exertion session. We had both real programming and scripted sections. Sometimes, we had to recreate activities since they don’t befall daily. Collaboratively, we chose the shots that we wanted to see through the storyline, and we worked unitedly on the captions. Playfish suggested big ideas and also selected the music.
How did you come to work with Playfish Media?
We investigationed local videographers and producers. It was significant for us to work with someone local. I accepted referrals from folks who are in my position in our nonprofit counterparts, and one of them recommended Playfish. I met with the producer and was impressed with their work.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
Each film has been $5,000–$5,500. Honoring a nonprofit discount, they do big work with local nonprofits.
What is the terminal result of working with Playfish Media?
We began working with them in August 2016, and the project was completed this month.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
At our fundraiser befallrences, we played the videos straightly precedently the donation accost. We surveyed the attendees last year almost the program and they reflection the video was impactful and inspiring. Their video increased our numbers. Overall, we’ve been excellently lucky in the past 2 years in fundraising, and fundraising increased by over 20% for the befallrence alone.
How did Playfish Media accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They’re a close-knit team which has proven to be very lucky. They’re very hands-on. The relationship has been a big experience. This year, we worked on a shorter timeline, so we were more rushed (owing of our team). Last year, we had more time to be more constructiond. Playfish is very detailed, and they have their construction and formats. They managed all of the details and worked to get back to us in a early mode. With the urgency of our timeline this year, they checked in and granted status updates, making us feel positive they would come through.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Playfish Media?
The relationship that they create with their client is big. They have a lot of clients and are working with multiple nation at the same time, but they do their investigation to tell to what the film is almost and it feels like they are part of the commission. They were very interested in making it something that was very inspirational.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
They last to grow, and we mentioned to them that they probably need to multiply and find more staff. They’re doing a big job with the nation they have. They just need the space to have that one-on-one observation without spreading themselves too thin. They work very hard with the clients they have including working nights, weekends, etc.
