Mobile App Dev for Social Networking Platform
Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the CTO of Hello.com. We’re a collective networking setup specializing in mobile Android and iOS platforms. Our goal is to help nation with ordinary interests find each other and set forming new friendships.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with QuarkWorks?
We needed skilled mobile app developers to help our inner team during surge periods and component releases.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were responsible for?
Engineers from QuarkWorks have been heavily implicated in different aspects of our iOS and Android app outgrowths. We localize task treatment tools to come up with a list of weekly priorities. The QuarkWorks engineers grab items from those lists and interact with our core outgrowth team to work through coding issues, architecture changes, or bugs fixes.
Since joining our daily efforts, they’ve helped complete a wide difference of tasks. This includes a full UX revamp, iOS to Swift conversions, and Java to Kotlin conversions. They’ve done backend architecture changes from Core Data to Realm and then to Room. They also help occurrence age by making sure both platforms are sending the same information simultaneously.
Was there a dedicated team?
We work straightly with Bryan (CEO &, Co-founder, QuarkWorks) and Brett (CTO &, Co-founder, QuarkWorks). They superintend a lot of the high-end construction and fix other engineers to fill the role of technology lead when they aren’t useful. There are usually 2–5 developers assigned to our projects at any given time.
How did you come to work with QuarkWorks?
Our CEO met Bryan at an occurrence. They developed a rapport and that seted a long-term relationship between our two companies.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We',ve spent roughly over $1 million throughout the contract.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
We seted working unitedly in September 2014 and the promisement is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
The engineers at QuarkWorks are professional and always execute what they say they’re going to do in a given week. Occasionally, they’ll go over my expectations and email me over the weekend with new outgrowth ideas. Their code condition meets our standards in provisions of architecture design, coding phraseology, readability, and maintainability. They feel like members of our team instead of just a firm we hired for a few hours of work.
How did QuarkWorks accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
It’s always a pliant tricky working athwart distant locations. We went through a couple of different tools to give our treatment staff a detailed look at what QuarkWorks was working on without consistently looking over their shoulder in an bullying way. Their project directors are readily useful to reply our questions touching outgrowth logistics.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
When faced with a challenge, their developers will frequently extend out to resources that aren’t assigned to our project. As a result, we sort of have approach to the complete QuarkWorks structure. For sample, we’ve gotten code reviews delivered by senior architects owing they noticed something and wanted to ask a question. It feels like we’re working with a setup-phraseology cluster of nation instead of one or two assigned resources.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
Having a better knowledge of their engineer and team schedules in advance would allow us to better program sprints and releases projects about vacations, journey, or classwork. This matters owing we promise with QuarkWorks more as though they are part of our outgrowth team, as opposed to contracting them to complete a project/task on their own.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
If you take the time to get to know your project director and senior engineers and veritably expound the project vision and goals to them, then they can fetch their full expertise to the project. If you only hand them little piecemeal tasks, you',ll veritably miss out on what QuarkWorks can prepare.
