The Victims of Crime Resource Center in Sacramento reached out to Shift3 with a number of unique challenges. Their existing site was cumbersome and difficult to use. A large number of their staff were college interns, which meant there was a great deal of turnover. With that turnover, there was repeated training involved to conduct simple site changes. Additionally, the project had the challenge of updating resources from the
iCarol platform and syncing them with a mobile application.Shift3 leveraged the WordPress platform for the project and took the opportunity to harness the power of multiple plugins available to customize the Center’s needs. Their site got a design facelift to make it more welcoming to visitors, a Google Translator to convert content to other languages, and we maintained the necessary unique features that the site needed to protect its visitors as well.
