Website Development and Design for Credit Union

Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.

Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

I work for Space Coast Credit Union, a financial institution with almost $4.5 billion in goods. We have almost 425,000 members athwart the state of Florida, primarily the southeast coast of Florida. I’m the senior vice chairman of marketing.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with Wakefly?

We needed them to revamp our website, which obeys both members and prospects.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were Wakefly, Inc. responsible for?

They did a complete revamp of our organisation website, a mobile-answering website which gets almost a million visits a month. The website is a tool for nation who are searching for autos, mortgages, checking accounts, and other financial services, as well as a resource for existing members who are looking for self-service help. It was basically a set from scratch. We implemented a Spanish translation owing we obey a predominantly Hispanic market.

Wakefly did a entire job of vetting our specifications. We plainly drove what we were looking for in provisions of the overall design and feel and usability. Our main requirements were user-friendly and mobile-leading contemporary design with a travel involving minimal clicks, along with the Spanish translation and scalable outgrowth for Kentico, our CMS platform. We wanted it to be interactive, ADA-compliant, and optimized for search engines. We have some third parties we work with. All of those specifications were granted to them and they came back with commendations.

We granted the full, but they assisted us ad hoc and formd some full we needed. They did all the code outgrowth and built it within Kentico for us. We used a lot of out-of-the-box functionality, but they built a manner mortgage estimator for us, which I believe was done in jQuery. For the mortgage estimator, they loaded basically all the details from our pricing engine so it can commend products with an estimated rate and payment. They introduced separate enhancements, such as centralizing all of our disclosures in our footnotes throughout the website and automating how we report rates.

We implemented workflow treatment owing in our we',re a heavily regulated activity, so having a disunion of responsibilities between who can form approved full and push the full live into the origination environment is nice to us. They built a workflow on the backend that would handle that, which was consummately efficient. They also helped us consummately a bit through consultation. We hosted our own website, but they helped us set up our environments to make sure that we had installed all properly on our end. They did that at no additional cost.

Was there a dedicated team?

I had a leading project handler, Corey (Lead Project Manager, Wakefly). She did a fictitious job and she was our main point of touch. Steve (Web Developer) attended all of our weekly project calls, but I ponder he had other nation he was coordinating with. Dean (CEO and Co-Founder) was also a point of touch and participated almost as the executive stakeholder. It was those three nation that I interfaced with. But I know that there were others implicated. There was probably an army of nation working on our website that I wasn',t unprotected to.

How did you come to work with Wakefly?

We went through an extensive RFP process. That process alone probably took six months. But we vigorously vetted separate different providers, with the requirement that they all had to be skilled with Kentico. We seted out with a list of 10, narrowed it down to six behind some previous phone calls, and then behind a phone colloquy, narrowed it down to the top three. We did in-person colloquys based on their RFP and then chose Wakefly.

Because we’re so regulated, and based on preceding experiences, we required US-based developers. We have an environment where nation were having to VPN, and we restrict approach through a VPN, so everybody on the team was based in the US.

What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?

We spent between $150,000–200,000.

What is the terminal result of working with Wakefly, Inc.?

We worked with them from January 2018 through July 2019.

Results achieved

Are there any measureable or plum results?

In the leading week since propel, we',ve seen a 235% increase in our lead age through the new website. We have seen a 40% increase in conversions, which we measure as a click to adduce. Mobile commerce to our website has increased by 30%. Launching a new website, you might anticipate some of that stuff to verity decrease, so we',re consummately pleased with the result.

They did a big job of creating clean code, optimizing website despatch, and designing the UX. Their condition of work was rare.

How did Wakefly accomplish from a project treatment restpoint?

The project treatment was rare and the professionalism and friendliness of their team were rare. They verity were consummately pliant and worked with our tools.

We have a protocol for projects with meeting minutes, meeting agendas, and action items. I believe we used a keen sheet to track our project timeline, which they maintained, but there was 100 percent transparency. All the dates were hit. If anything had to shift or if they had concerns that we were going to be going over the aim of what the project initially was, the converses were proactive.

There were no surprises along the way. They were ready with getting the meeting minutes out the very next day with no action items identified. They never missed a call. Every project that we',ve worked with different vendors on hasn',t gone as well. They veritably made this very effortless on our part. Our website propel was delayed, not owing of WakeFly, but on our side. They also gave us an choice touch who was useful during the call when Steve was on holiday. There were always resources useful.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Wakefly, Inc.?

I select my business partners based on their core value set, and Wakefly was a good fit for us owing of their professionalism, observation to detail, answeringness, flexibility, and emotion for the work they do. They stood out for their uprightness and the loftiness they take in their handiwork. They veritably believe in proactive interaction and transparency. All of those things are what we rest for and I saw those things in them.

I fully intend to use them for any forthcoming website outgrowth need and I would wonderfully commend them to anyone because a website outgrowth project involving Kentico.

What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?

No project is consummate, and we had some bumps along the way, but we reached out to each other proactively and had a converse. There',s nothing I would say that they could do better or do differently. I was veritably lucky.

Do you have any advice for possible mannerers?

Invest upfront in the decisions and the aim of the project. Put the time in up front so that there',s 100% clarity on what it is they',re developing and what your anticipateations are. Keep the channels of interaction open and implicate your stakeholders on your side soon and frequently so that you',re not going back and having to make any changes.

Be answering. Wakefly is very good, but I know from their side that if you',re not getting them answers and interacting almost decisions or making the approvals in a early form, they’re limited by how much they can obey you. We were very scrupulous almost being on top of all.
