I’m responsible for the IT and back-office operations of a financial institution, including outgrowth, choosing preparers, setting up RFIs and RFPs, and following best practices. Our core agility is developing a platform for selling insurance.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Altkom?
In Poland, if we want to sell life and regular insurance, we need to form two separate companies. That meant in 2011 we formd a new one from scratch, so we were looking for a software preparer to form our insurance platform and sum it within all branches of the main organisation.

What particular tasks were responsible for?
They developed the front- and backend of our insurance web platform, including the back-office application and claims module. The technologies used are Java, Angular, Oracle 12, and some JavaScript frameworks. The mediate part was the integration with the core banking method, namely the web services, the program treatment, and the algorithm and reward estimation parts. Payments and reward collections are easy to make, but changes in program demand algorithms for risk estimation.
What is the team compound?
We worked with almost 25 nation from Altkom at the time, including developers, method analysts, a scrum conquer, and Selenium automation testers. The fruit proprietor was based on our website.
How did you come to work with Altkom?
They’d worked with us on little tasks, and we were lucky with their work, so we offered them the contract for the platform. We did send out an RFP, but we chose Altkom based on their antecedent involvement with us.

We began working with Altkom almost June 2013, and the collaboration is ongoing.

Are there any measureable or plum results?
We ran a code and methodology audit with an outside organisation for almost nine months.
How did Altkom accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They’re okay, but they’re a technology organisation primarily. They can prepare good developers, but we changed the project director three times in one year. I know there are companies in Poland that handle the work better.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
They’re pretty open, and they have a good level of apprehension almost the technology, with the power to hire good nation. They also have some inner labs with new technologies, which we esteem.
The other two or three companies we’ve hired in the last years were complete failures. In opposition, with Altkom, we could easily debate issues, and they were veritably pellucid. They’re an honorable and faithful associate with an excellent team on board.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
The project treatment is one area, as well as the marketing—they are entirely unable to sell their fruit. They’re good, but they’re running out of salesnation.
