Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

I’m the CEO of a technology-enabled course transition services firm. We’re hired by companies to help transitioning employees hasten their job search.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with Ratio Web?

We were doing a revamp of our website. We had a website that was built by another vendor that was on WordPress and wanted to leverage the Drupal platform to create a more powerful rendering of our website. There were limitations with WordPress and we wanted biger customization as well as a higher grade of security in authentication. We hired Ratio Web to do the outgrowth and the visual design.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were Ratio Web responsible for?

Ratio Web is based in Poland their project chief was unappropriated at coordinating interaction. We had weekly meetings via video call at their suggestion, which I appreciated. We gathered the right nation from both of our teams to fix that we were setting extrinsics and progressing toward our goals.

Are there new features they built into your new website?

One of the key things in the leading release was a different form of authentication. Previously, our users logged in with a organisation code that was used athwart an complete client organisation of ours. Everyone had the same code within a organisation. What that meant was that it could be easily shared and wasn’t very secure. It also meant that when someone logged in, we didn’t identify that user as an personal. Now, we preload all we know almost the personals who are capable for our services into our CRM method. Our authentication is based on a registration code that’s sole to the personal. When that personal logs in on our Drupal website, it references that information in our CRM and we already know their title, their organisation, the package they’re capable for. It’s a much smarter login experience that creates more personalization for the personal.

How many resources were assigned to your project?

We worked with three nation. We had a project director, a lead developer, and a designer. We had weekly scheduled video calls. I was in Europe and went to visit them in Poland.

How did you come to work with Ratio Web?

We were looking at two possibilities of what platform to create on. I sought out Ratio Web based on the fact that one discretion was Drupal. When I connected with the team, I felt positive we were making the right determination. I asked them whether they reflection Drupal was the right platform given our extrinsic, and they made me feel positive that it was a good fit.

How much have you invested with Ratio Web?

It was a five-digit project.

What is the terminal result of working with Ratio Web?

We began working with them in October 2015, and we launched the initial release of the website within three months. We had a series of supplemental milestones and outgrowth projects. We last to work with them owing we’ve always got more projects.

Results achieved

How did Ratio Web accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

We used Google Hangouts for video conferencing. We had a platform for outgrowth updates where I could log bugs and see progress on different milestones. When we were in the dense of outgrowth, we were very nimble on that. The designer had a mock-up platform where she would share visual designs and I could comment on them.

What did you find most forcible almost Ratio Web?

What I saw in Ratio Web was a very professional, well-coordinated team. There’s big value in having a designer and a developer who is in customary interaction and are part of the same team. The designer was not making design determinations in segregation. She was ensuring that her designs were aligned with the cleverness of the outgrowth team and that we could execute within budget and wouldn’t encounter with the outgrowth roadmap. The integration of outgrowth and design was a real premium.

Are there any areas Ratio Web could better?

The biggest thing is for the client to set expectations about project aim and timing. Because they’re working on multiple projects, it’s up to the client to set expectations about what the requirements are going to be and to give visibility into the roadmap so they can carve out time. It’s not a denying for them.

What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of achievement with Ratio Web?

The client needs to be sure to have the project aimd and the forthcoming stages aimd, such that Ratio Web knows how much time to allocate in the running cycle.
