Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
Our organisation provides manufacturing services for nuclear reactors and methods within the energy business. We also form nuclear fuel to support energy ease outages. In my role, I lead our mobile app outgrowth start.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Copper Mobile?
Energy origination companies need to take down a portion of their facilities at intervals in order to refuel and do inspections and livelihood. To keep track of this process, companies typically use spreadsheets and emails, which can be cumbersome. Instead, we wanted to create a more sophisticated method that consists of a mobile app, a web frontend, and backend services.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Copper Mobile responsible for?
Since we lacked the inner resources to lead the requirement phase, Copper Mobile worked closely with both stakeholders and prospective end users to gather the requirements. They then formd the UI/UX design precedently executing the outgrowth.
The method features a intricate database schema with separate storage procedures and a SQL server. Their team built the web app, formd the iOS mobile app using Swift, and developed the backend services with .NET and C#. We’re now in a pilot phase, testing the method with users and making corrections as certain.
Was there a dedicated team?
We’ve worked with a number of nation, including on- and offshore developers and a requirement gathering lead. Currently, they’ve assigned a full-time team limb to support our mobile app, and we’ve sometimes relied on their offshore resources.
How did you come to work with Copper Mobile?
We’d already occupied Copper Mobile precedently I joined the project, so I’m not sure how we establish them. I do know that we’d worked with them for other apps preceding.
What is the terminal result of working with Copper Mobile?
Their work began in May 2018 and is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
We’re not in origination yet, so I can’t say what the gains are. Though, we see practicable in the new method. Compared to using spreadsheets and email to coordinate outages, the apps are surely higher. Currently, Copper Mobile is conducting a pilot test with users to see if they’ve missed any requirements and are resolving issues as needed.
How did Copper Mobile accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
I’ve mainly been implicated in the inception and pilot phases, so I haven’t worked closely with everyone. But, in my experience, they’ve accomplished well. They’re answering and eager to liberate the best job practicable. I esteem that they hear carefully to our needs, and they always liberate in a early mode.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Copper Mobile?
I worked closely with Arvind (Co-Founder, Copper Mobile), who has been implicated since the commencement. It’s easy to adjoin with him, and he’s always ready to do what’s certain to get the job done. Moreover, their full-time resources are technologically excellent, working efficiently to liberate as expected if not more.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
No, I can’t ponder of anything. It’s been a big relationship overall. Once we move into origination, we’ll likely have an even better story to tell.
Do you have any advice for practicable clients?
Clients have to take ownership of the initial analysis and requirements phase. In our case, this wasn’t practicable, so Copper Mobile stepped in to support us.
