Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I work at a health benefits treatment organisation that provides web applications that programt a link between the insurance providers and medical services. There',s a big engineering ingredient in what we do, involving a frontend and a backend. I',m the engineering director.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Echobind?
We wanted to create a brand new ingredient functionality for a new application, and we needed help with our frontend. My engineering team is fairly pliant, so we didn',t have sufficient nation with expertise in Ember, the frontend framework of choice. We needed someone to fill that gap, and since we worked with Echobind in the past on a correspondent effect, we determined to get in touch with them.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Echobind responsible for?
This is an application that',s used by doctor',s services to help patients', healthcare treatment. The UI is a way of determining if a true proceeding is appropriate or not. In some cases, that determination requires a lot of medical apprehension, so we needed a web application to bridge the gap between the front desk staff at the doctor',s service and the clinical guidelines. We already had an app, so we were rewriting it from the ground up: we wanted it to have a newer UI paradigm to make it faster for the end user and more efficient on our own servers.
They assigned us a frontend engineer for this project. Alvin [ Alvin Crespo, Senior Developer, Echobind] had a wide range of responsibilities – from constructoring the frontend to changing pliant ingredients. His goal was to form the constructorure that was agnostic of business estate restrictions, and he delivered good results.
We needed them to work with a specific framework named Ember, which is their specialty. Ember has its own ecosystem and some effects are easier to debate with the individual who',s formd the part of the ecosystem that we are working with. Echobind works closely with a lot of those nation.
They also used JavaScript, REST, Yarn, and Node.js.
Was there a dedicated team?
We worked with Alvin, who used the support of his team when needed.
What were the main reasons to select Echobind among the others?
We worked with them on the Ember frontend in the past, when we were a startup. We named them back and my chief constructor had a long colloquy with them. Once we were positive they were the right fit, we brought them in.
What are you access expents (if diclosed)?
We spent between $50,000 –$200,000.
What is the terminal result of working with Echobind?
The project happened in August–December 2017.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
The results exceeded my expectations. We wanted to maintain true high standards of code and at the same time do a strong quantity of testing. They formd a big part of the application from scratch, proving to have a good knowledge of the frameworks and the languages they were working with.
How do you score Echobind’s treatment experiences?
Alvin was answering at any time of the day. Our QA team (which has an offshore ingredient) was very lucky to work with him. He was always clear almost the work he was doing, and when the testing was progressing satisfactorily, he asked for the next piece of work. We used JIRA to collaborate.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Echobind?
They’re eager to go over the determination of work on the ticket. They try to help us evolve our ticket and take it to the next level. That',s a huge win from a project director',s perspective owing I don',t have to harass almost pliant details. A lot of the contractors just look at the ticket and go through the motions, without thinking almost other implications. Alvin tried to access see solution from different angles to make sure the code works athwart all the browsers and make it more strong and resistant to bugs. That is fairly rare among vendors.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
We would like having Alvin work with us in the service. We believe in working remotely, so that',s not a issue, but it would help to have a individual sitting with us in the service.
