I’m a program ruler at the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. I run a contest named M3 which is for high school students who can contend virtually.

What challenge were you trying to address with Engine Room?
The M3 Challenge depends on separate websites. There’s a registration website, an interactive website for contestants, a website for judges exclusively, and a unified database.
I was looking for reliable online support to help our in-house IT staff fit for the contest.

What particular tasks were Engine Room responsible for?
They helped with web outgrowth and making updates to the running method. We’ve been using the same websites for separate years, but the rivalry changes annually, so we need to make updates.
They also unified the API database. We had approachly 15 years', worth of data that they had to migrate and merge.
Was there a dedicated team?
We have a project director and a programmer. We also sometimes work with Dennis (CEO) and Ian (senior developer). We switched project directors part way through our engagement, but it went smoothly.
How did you come to work with Engine Room?
The ad agency that we work with recommended them to us. During our initial calls, they demonstrated that they understood what we were looking for and would be able to help us.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
I would estimate that we spent almost $50,000-$90,000.
What is the terminal result of working with Engine Room?
We began our ongoing union with them in June 2018.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
Every year, they help us better and layer our business. Next year, we are going to make the rivalry useful internationally. They’re helping us with updates to make that happen.
They’re very answering, especially when there are time-sensitive issues. Their team has granted help on weekends and behind hours owing they apprehend the perception of urgency that comes with running this contest. I’ve worked with other IT support teams, but I’ve never had this level of labor.
How did Engine Room accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
The project director keeps us on task and provides reminders to our inner team if they’re waiting on us for something. They’re in the same area as us, but we frequently adjoin via email.
