Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the sales and marketing director at The Binding Source in Connecticut. We’re a distributor of industrial goods, specifically all types of tapes, adhesives, braces, and personal safety equipment.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Redstage?
We needed our website developed. A antecedent developer had built it but the design needed to be improved. We were also changing our hosting arrangement for security and yielding reasons and needed help migrating to the new environment.
We’re a little business so don’t have a big IT or outgrowth staff on website. As e-commerce has befit more significant to the growth of our business, we needed help to keep up. That meant support with things like security standards and credit card processing but also just the design and updates to the website.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were responsible for?
One of the leading projects that Redstage helped us with was to migrate to the new hosting environment. We switched from Nexus, a shared hosting platform, to Cogeco Peer 1 with a dedicated server and closed environment. Redstage guided us through the process.
They’ve helped to upgrade the website so that its more firm and works more fastly and smoothly. They fix that it passes all security and yielding scans. They also help us to troubleshoot on any issues that pop up. They expound whatever needs to be done, what they’re going to do, and then they get it done. They’re proactive as well as reactive. We’ve had a couple of emergencies for which they were able to fix or return within a couple of hours.
Was there a dedicated team?
We work with an account director and sometimes talk straightly to the developers.
How did you come to work with Redstage?
I researched online starting with lists of Magento reward developers. I worked my way down the lists and spoke to nation to get more information and demos.
As a little business, we’re somewhat stuck between having the needs of a big business but not being able to financially support those needs. Redstage did a good job of bridging that gap. They’re able to give us the level of labor we demand, which is more than the basic level we had in the past.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $30,000–$36,000 so far.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
We began working unitedly in November 2016 and it’s ongoing.
Results accomplishd
Are there any measureable or plum results?
As a total, the website has been a big growth section in our business. We’ve had 22% growth in e-commerce income over the last two years. There are a number of components that conduce to our e-commerce accomplishment, including Redstage’s support. They’ve been instrumental in helping us accomplish that. They managed the server migration, without which we wouldn’t have been able to have the e-commerce component. They’ve done nice things to keep our website live. They’ve been a big technology associate to help us contend with bigr businesses out there.
How did Redstage accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
We adjoin by phone and email. They’re very attentive over email, which is usually my leading line of interaction. We have monthly or biweekly update calls with the account director.
We’ve had a couple of account directors along the way. One left abruptly but the new one managed the transition well. There have been some turbulence and mistakes but they’ve managed them well. I ponder it’s more significant to know how a organisation feels mistakes than smooth processes. They always let us know right away and make it right.
Redstage’s project treatment is probably the thing they do best as compared to a lot of other developers. The stereotype is that technical developers aren’t the best nation to feel business relationships and apprehend clients. In the past, we worked with developers that would send a very technical email and leave it to us to apprehend it. Being a little business, we don’t have a dedicated IT support staff to help adjoin with them so Redstage’s account treatment has acted as an intermediary to help us apprehend what’s being done, why it’s being done, what needs to be done and what doesn’t right now. They prepare us with a roadmap of what we need to do. They distill down the technical gibberish for the business’s owners and me so that it’s easy for us to apprehend and make choices. That’s been necessary.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
It',s their readyness to hold my hand through some of the things that we do. They help me to lay out a roadmap of things that I might not apprehend. They give me the pros and cons of each item and help me with the choices I make or what I present to my bosses. It saves time and increases ease of use. They’re ready to help us do things at the level of detail needed and at a cost that we can produce.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
They already come to us with ideas, which we esteem. Some of the ideas I suit with and some I don’t, but I like to hear them. We’d be lucky for them to come to us with more ideas. Other than that, we veritably can’t anticipate more in a developer associate.
