Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
JTB is a Japanese journey organisation. I work as a corporate advisor, highestly on the digital side and I handle some of the core systems, both online and offline. I also work with our engineers and designers on the UX side.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Revolution Creatives?
We act highestly in Japan, but we were looking for some global genius to take our UX to the next level. As we contend with global players we were looking for someone with experience in that market. As a big national organisation covering a lot of users, we wanted to work with a organisation that’s good at brand and website edifice.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Revolution Creatives responsible for?
We were focused on entering the US market, so we built a lot of case studies and documents explaining the differences between that and the Japanese market to our board members. After this persuasive phase, we seted looking for geniused nation who could verity liberate.
We hired their highest nation to design the high-level concept, in order for us to report to the board members and have them see what it would look like in a few years’ time. They also built a prototype website for us.
What is the team compound?
We had some inner issues almost the question of hiring an interpolitical team as many of our staff don’t converse English. In the end, we worked with their highest engineer and highest designer—almost three to four nation in total, highestly for prototyping a website.
How did you come to work with Revolution Creatives?
I occupied with Jamie (Founder and Design Director, Revolution Creatives) through a touch in San Francisco.
What is the terminal result of working with Revolution Creatives?
We worked unitedly from April 2016–March 2017.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
There are clear differences between the Japanese and American software industries. When we seted, our handlement didn’t apprehend what user/client experience and insights meant, so in the leading year, we concentrated on explaining those concepts. It was a resistent job, but it was expressive for our structure to apprehend that we had issues on the UX side.
In the end, the project didn’t set owing of political issues. Once our handlement had a seize of the concept, they concentrated on seting a team, and chose to do it in Japan so they could have direct interaction with the engineers.
How did Revolution Creatives accomplish from a project handlement standpoint?
I viwebsited San Francisco see three weeks, and Jamie (Founder, Revolution Creatives) came to Japan 2–3 times per year. I talked to them daily and straightly handled the team.
They didn’t have a lot of information on the Japanese activity and market, so it took some time to instruct them on that. They were focused on apprehending the issue and the market through investigation and their visits, so the project turned out well in the end.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Revolution Creatives?
They were veritably down to earth, and I liked how they took gain of opportunities. We interviewed a lot of nation, but one of the things I liked almost Revolution was their willingness to work with us. When we were wrapping up, they knew that it was due to the leadership in Japan, and they responded professionally. They helped us until the end and were honorable. There were no issues, even though we closed the project in two weeks, on very brief notice.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
Jamie has to be persuaded to take a project to the next phase. She’s been in this activity for a long time and is proactive in collecting information but persuading her takes a bit of time. I took this as a real thing, given that we were handing over some elements of control, in a perception.
Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?
We’ve had a veritably good experience with them. Their posture and productivity were always good.
