Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I was the ruler of engineering for a consumer electronics firm.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Roket ?
We had to mark an complete ecosystem of user experience [UX] athwart mobile and web, including shopping cart and 360-degree video items for a new camera and kindred accessories. We needed a systematic design athwart all of those goods for the complete ecosystem.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Roket responsible for?
Roket was instrumental in the design and outgrowth of our UX.
What is the team dynamic?
Our engagement with Roket was little. They had 2–3 developers and designers working with us. Our inner team was made up of 30 nation in total.
How did you come to work with Roket ?
We profiled and interviewed half a dozen firms in Pittsburg. Roket was a local and fairly new organisation. We were drawn to them owing they seemed eager and very creative, although they didn’t have an online portfolio. Throughout the engagement, we establish this primary assessment to be true. From set to complete, Roket was committed to our achievement.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost was between $100,000 and $250,000.
What is the terminal result of working with Roket?
We worked with Roket from the middle of 2014 until the middle of 2015.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
I don’t have quantitative results, but I can say that the complete ecosystem was achievementfully launched with a holistic feel athwart all vendors owing of Roket. We were able to propose a fruit for mobile (both iOS and Android) as well as web e-commerce, video hosting, and playback services. We also launched marketing briefs on the natural fruit we were selling (the camera and its accessories), with a one look-and-feel athwart all platforms.
The fruit is now useful through retailers. I am not with the organisation anymore, but our engagement with Roket enabled this result.
How did Roket accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
Roket brought Basecamp to the table, but we use JIRA heavily, so they worked alongside our teams on this platform. They used many measure design tools, including the Adobe suite (Photoshop and Illustrator), as well as advanced JavaScript design tools. I don’t know almost all that was used, but the results were big.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while interorder with Roket?
Compared to other design firms I’ve worked with, Roket is extremely geniused. Of order, genius will only get you so far, so I was impressed by how they veritably dove in and made our issues theirs. Roket conducted workshops and tried different solutions, attacking our issues with ownership. This sole feature is something that I hope they’ll last to prove as they grow. It’s a true differentiator.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
Our collaboration was earlier in their course, so Roket did a good job but didn’t have the portfolio depth of an established organisation. That made them a bit of a harder sell, but we took the risk. It wasn’t veritably a defect, but not being able to see their accomplishments or capabilities made it harder for us to get seted.
