Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the VP of kntcrr, a labor marketplace for gig hiring within a possible network or geographic market.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with SmartLogic?
We spent expressive time in R&,D, developing the flow and the meat of the platform and trying to explain for consumers and providers. After that, we were ready to create the MVP for the platform.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were SmartLogic responsible for?
SmartLogic leading built the framework for our platform’s app. Their in-house design team took our logic and turned it into wireframes. Once we gave them our feedback, they created clickable wireframes that had some styling. From there, they brought to life the platform leading as a web app and then as an Android and iOS app built on the web app’s API. The web app was built in Elixir Phoenix and the mobile app in React Native.
Was there a dedicated team?
Dan (Director, Development Operations) is our project director and has done some outgrowth himself. We’ve worked with two web developers and two mobile developers as well.
How did you come to work with SmartLogic?
We were shopping for local outgrowth firms that could meet our needs when it came to condition, cost, and expertise. We wanted a local firm to quit any issues almost time zone differences and speech barriers and to have the occasion for face-to-face meetings.
We also needed someone to fill in the gaps in our apprehension. I have a backgcircular in software outgrowth but not at a strong, full-stack level. Our biggest fear was that our outgrowth firm would do precisely what we’d ask, causing us to miss something in the terminal fruit.
These were the main driving factors for choosing SmartLogic. They seemed like a capable team and were answering to all our questions during the process. Combined with their fast turnalmost and detailed program for implementation, we were veritably impressed with their introduction.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We’ve spent almost $150,000 so far.
What is the terminal result of working with SmartLogic?
The leading project — designing and edifice our MVP — ran from March until June 2019. We’re now in the second circular of outgrowth to fix bugs, clean up some features, and enhance the UX and features that already exist.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
We have 600 users on the platform, and our fundamental sign-ups are growing faster than expected. Though, the infrastructure built by SmartLogic handles the extra load with no issue. SmartLogic advised us to go with little servers on AWS, and so far, we’ve had no issues with lag, response time, latency, or labor overload.
How did SmartLogic accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
For the leading circular of outgrowth, we had a daily 15-minute standup call that we only used half the time. We’d work with developers to debate what they’re working on and give some feedback. Generally, they’re very ready in getting back to us. I primarily work through Dan, and he messages me back on Slack within an hour even when we’re not occupied in a project.
We had a couple of hiccups towards the end of the process we were programning the second circular of outgrowth. There were interaction issues on both sides, and we were unclear on the protocol to make sure things didn’t slip through the cracks and shrewd who and how to extend out to whom. We made our frustrations known, and it led to a veritably fruitive meeting unitedly almost how to quit these issues moving advanced. During the last circular of outgrowth, it went much better. All our concerns were addressed, and nothing fell through the table.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with SmartLogic?
SmartLogic’s answeringness veritably stands out. With other firms, we’ve struggled to find project directors who get back to us within an hour or developers who put out new creates in the evening. SmartLogic’s observation to us is veritably valued, especially as a little team with high stakes and a firm timeline.
I’m also pleased with their willingness to fetch their own experience and suggestions to the table. SmartLogic has been helpful in working with us to find intelligent solutions to our issues. Recently, we were debateing the concept of edifice notifications into our platform. A strong rendering would be a pretty big project, so I asked for a more static rendering. SmartLogic gave a few options that are almost as good, for a third of the cost and time. We’ve been able to lean on their experience to acquire almost what works and doesn’t work.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
I ponder they’re more skilled with edifice commercial, enterprise mobile apps than with consumer-facing mobile apps. That meant we had a number of bugs in the app that we felt was unacceptable for a direct-to-consumer fruit. Though, to their credit, they specced out a new circular of outgrowth that we paid for while taking ownership of the bugs and fixing them in their own time. I feel very snug and positive continuing to work with them in that space.
Any advice for possible clients?
Lean on their expertise as much as you want. To get the most out of the experience, make sure you gave a good perception of what you want.
