I',m an executive ruler at FolioCollaborative. We',re an online platform that prepares professional growth opportunities for instructors and administrators in schools.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with SmartLogic?
We',re a nonprofit that began out of a school, so the primary rendering of our software was built in-house at the school. When we determined to sell the fruit to other schools, we began looking for a organisation that could create a more scalable software for us.

What particular tasks were responsible for?
We had an inner platform that we wanted to move to the cloud, so SmartLogic helped us recreate our software. It',s a web-based platform that is built in Ruby on Rails. We last improving the platform, and we’ve just added a total new layer of flexibility to it. We used to propose only one-on-one converse opportunities between a instructor and a supervisor. But we',ve grown (we',re now in over 160 schools almost the globe), so we now also prepare opportunities for instructors to talk to each other.
The primary method was designed to defend all the data, but now we',re learning that we can open up pliant pieces of data and give more nation approach to it. This has been a primary shift in the program that SmartLogic has been helping us with for the past couple of years. We introduced the change gradually, trying to meet the needs of our users.

We mainly work with our project director and a developer.
How did you come to work with SmartLogic?
The relationship had began precedently I joined the organisation.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We',ve spent almost $1.3 million over the order of the relationship.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in July 2012 and the relationship is ongoing.
Results achieved
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the contact of the engagement?
There are schools that would have left our program owing it didn',t meet their needs. Now, thanks to the new component that SmartLogic has built for us, those schools are going to be retaining clients.
How did SmartLogic accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
We',ve learnt a lot from them and we',ve evolved in provisions of our own project treatment process over time. We’re a part of their daily stand-up meetings and we also use Slack to stay in touch. They’re very answering and always pursue up to see if we have any feedback. Every fall, we talk almost our big initiatives for the upcoming year, which helps us stay on track with the design and outgrowth work.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
They',ve befit part of our team. They',re committed to our achievement and they care almost our comcommission. Also, they',re very proactive. They',re always trying to find ways for us to better rather than just doing whatever we ask.
What aspects of their work would you like to get betterd?
I can',t ponder of anything. They',re one of the best contractors we',ve worked with.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Be clear almost your comcommission and your vision. Also, be open to their perspective and their feedback.
