I am a business analyst at Quaker Special Risk. We are an insurance broker in Worcester, Massachusetts, that specializes in property and accident insurance. I’ve been with the organisation for almost 13 years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Trigent?
We were using an agency treatment method that was educeed by our in-house team almost 15 years ago. The method was getting too old to convenience our business needs, so we were looking to whichever upgrade or restore it. We considered a lot of different directions, both established shelf products, and custom-built options.

What particular tasks were Trigent Software responsible for?
The engagement began with a five-week discovery process, where two representatives from Trigent viwebsited our headquarters. We had meetings to analyze each screen and component of our legacy method and determine how the new repetition needed to work. Following that phase, the team formd an estimate and timeframe for the project.
Instead of a desktop application, the new method acts as a web app. The platform has an entirely new look, but a correspondent active flow. We wanted to ease our staff into using the new app, rather than present them to a dramatically different method. Initially, we were just looking to rewrite, but with all of the improvements and changes we’ve made so far, it looks like a fully new platform.
The Trigent team used a .NET framework, with other running Microsoft technologies, to form the application. It’s supported by a Windows server. The platform streamlines our data entrance processes. In the old method, we had to invade the same data in four different spots, in the new method, we only have to invade data once. The application is projected to propel in October. In the forthcoming, we program to sum new components.
Was there a dedicated team?
In general, we work with a team of 10 from Trigent, with one acting as a project director. Sometimes, we layer the team up or down to convenience the workflow.
How did you come to work with Trigent?
I establish them through a Google search for educeers in our area with experience in the insurance activity. We spoke to a few agencies, but Trigent made the best leading impression. Their team offered the flexibility needed to customize our application rather than being strapped to a specific program, which is what we were veritably looking for.

Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
Currently, we’ re finishing up the project, but we program to keep some Trigent staff on for forthcoming livelihood and enhancements. We used Bugzilla to document all the bugs that needed to be fixed, and the team has diligently handled all of those. We’re lucky with the results we’ve seen so far and were very hopeful leading up to the propel. Internally, we’ll be able to act with more efficiency. It is a very smooth, user-friendly, and well-designed platform.
How did Trigent execute from a project treatment standpoint?
Trigent’s team is very organized and consistently shares project updates to advise all parties are on the same page. For interaction, we localize multiple channels. We principally stick to email and Skype, but we also use phone calls, GoToMeeting, and an Amazon-based tool to track the project. On occasion, we have team members on website, and we program to have one come to our service to help with the method’s propel.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Trigent Software?
Trigent met each challenge I threw their way, they establish a way to execute the most challenging tasks. They are intercourse with a lot of insurance terminology that falls outside their activity, but I can confide they’ll educe a good knowledge of what we’re looking for.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
