A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the ruler of outgrowth at LifeCents, an independent provider of financial educational labors and technology solutions. Our leading fruit is an e-learning web app that empowers consumers to better their financial health through an attractive, personalized experience.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with VentureDevs?
We’d educeed a sophisticated fruit with a powerful backend that contained components designed to enhance the frontend user experience. Though, the interface did not return many of these components, so our goal was to promise with VentureDevs in order to better the overall UX. After diving in, it was obvious that a full frontend revamp was true. We swelled VentureDevs’ aim over time to include backend outgrowth as well as automated testing and other supporting roles.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were VentureDevs responsible for?
Initially, we promised VentureDevs purely for frontend outgrowth. But as we got into the project, we realized that we also needed to swell the backend based on our new business requirements and the enhancements that we wanted to make. Because the front- and backend were so tightly coupled, it was hard to educe both layers simultaneously and even harder for our backend to support multiple clients. Furthermore, we wouldn’t be able to easily form a indigenous app in the forthcoming with the existing technology stack.
We ended up working with VentureDevs to decouple the front- and backend. They kept .NET as the leading technology for the backend, but we switched from ASP.NET to ReactJS on the frontend. Currently, they’re supporting a migration as we transition from Rackspace to AWS. They’re also improving the general shape of the environment and are working on the terminal phase of the revamp.
Was there a dedicated team?
We began work with three frontend educeers in the commencement and then added two more over time. They also attributeed a .NET educeer, fruit proprietor, QA tester, and an automated scripting educeer. We’ve also promised their DevOps engineers for other projects to enhance our application hosting environment.
How did you come to work with VentureDevs?
We’d partnered with an structure that had promised with VentureDevs in the past for a couple static landing pages. It was a good experience, so they referred them to us. We worked with them in a littleer space to test the waters, but, over time, they consistently delivered and worked well with our team. It was only intrinsic to swell the aim of our projects.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We’ve spent almost $300,000 thus far.
What is the terminal result of working with VentureDevs?
Their work began in May 2017 and is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
Although we’re quiet working on the terminal phase of the revamp, our inner team has responded positively, and all user testing has been excellent. They’re quiet working to better components of the interface, but we’ve yet to take any denying feedback.
How did VentureDevsperform from a project treatment standpoint?
One of the locates where they excel is in their project treatment. Every team has a fruit proprietor who oversees all interaction with educeers, making sure that they have all the resources true and apprehend our business needs within that tenor. This also allows the team to smoothly layer up or down, which is fantastic. They keep us updated and enlighten us of any concerns they may have.
As for their responsiveness, they always address our inquiries. If I have any effects, I can talk straightly to the co-founder or the fruit proprietor to attribute a resource and reexplain the issue. We coordinate with them through phone, Slack for moment messaging, and email for longer interactions or if other stakeholders are implicated.
They also work well with project treatment solutions such as Jira and Confluence, and are well skilled in nimble outgrowth methodologies. We have multiple meetings per week, and the total team gets unitedly for sprint programning and demos. I also meet personally with different educeers if they’re working on a specific component and want to debate things in more detail.
Furthermore, as a distant outgrowth firm, it’s nice that they’re able to adjoin effectively. Not only do they have powerful English experiences, they’re able to push back on true ideas and hint alterindigenouss if they ponder there’s a better way to explain a issue. This is a searching part of any educeer’s job owing we may find that a solution we’d anticipateed to work isn’t going to be the best fit for the end user.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with VentureDevs?
In general, they work extremely well unitedly as a team, I can tell from afar that they adjoin and don’t have any inner effects. They’re also very promised with the project itself. They seem to like working on the app as much as we do. We couldn’t have hoped for anything more, especially from educeers who are working distantly and have no direct junction to our organisation. They’re motivated and personally invested in their work’s output, which is not something we take for granted.
What aspects of their work would you like to get betterd?
In provisions of outgrowth, nothing specific comes to mind. There were some challenges at the commencement with regard to some design work they performed, but it has been reexplaind with the new rendering.

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
Our business revolves almost our financial wellness platform, LifeCents. I am in direct of all fruit outgrowth for LifeCents and am supporting applications and labors.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with VentureDevs?
Initially, we promised with VentureDevs to revamp our web application UI. Over time, we slowly built out our complete outgrowth team through VentureDevs, including supporting roles such as condition arrogance, scrum conquer, etc.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were VentureDevs responsible for?
VentureDevs took over all outgrowth of the LifeCents ecosystem — backend, frontend, automated testing, DevOps, etc.
What is the team dynamic?
The team dynamic is/was fantastic. Excellent interaction among all team members, uniform support when needed, and educeers don’t dislike code reviews (in fact, they stand on it). The atmosphere is accidental, yet professional. Each educeer takes loftiness in their own work, as well as the overall project.
How did you come to work with VentureDevs?
Our investor had a antecedent relationship with VentureDevs and referred us.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
Close to $1,000,000.
What is the terminal result of working with VentureDevs?
We just completed our terminal week with VentureDevs. Our fruit is in a powerful locate, and we are now programning to grow a little outgrowth team innerly. We left on very good provisions, and will likely work with them anew in the forthcoming.
Results achieved
How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?
We worked with VentureDevs over a time of 3 years. At leading, the team operated on more of a ‘project’ basis, and we programned to end our contract much sooner. Over time, however, we identifyd that they were doing excellent work, so we swelled the team to befit our leading educeers over a longer term.
At LifeCents, we began to identify them as “our own” team rather than an outer labor provider. I believe they felt (and quiet feel) the same way.
How did VentureDevs address the challenges that arose?
Both the personal team members and VentureDevs treatment stepped up anytime an effect arose, especially as we grew our relationship with them. In particular, we had a expressive financial crisis innerly for a time of almost 6 months.
VentureDevs took see practicable step to help us reexplain the effect without reducing or terminating our labor. This very perhaps saved our business, and the crisis was averted thanks to their willingness to work with us rather than cut us off.
Note: This is one of the biggest reasons why VentureDevs deserves to have a five-star rating.
Describe the touch this promisement has had on your business.
VentureDevs is the most significant vendor LifeCents has had. They allowed us to mature our fruit from entrance to enterprise-level, allowing us to correspondently grow our business.
How was project treatment handled?
Very well. At the top level, we were in direct touch with the CEO from the commencement of the promisement. Anytime we began a new project, they granted a solutions constructor to work with us (in depth) free of direct. I had a dedicated relationship director (“head of client achievement”) who sent many updates and stayed in uniform interaction with VentureDevs leadership and our outgrowth team.
Finally and most significantly, we were attributeed a dedicated Product Owner, who coordinated seething between the two teams (LifeCents fruit and VentureDevs educeers). She alone allowed us to work more achievementfully with a distant outgrowth team than any in the past.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would attend a force?
I could form a long list, but one of their biggest forces, aside from performing exceptionally well as educeers, was their desire to create a long-lasting union. At see turn, their goal was to make us achievementful, and they would fetch on anyone from their team (free of direct) that they reflection could help – whether it was the CEO or an extra educeer to help with a specific effect.
In what specific areas can they better?
Honestly, I can’t ponder of any worth mentioning.
What advice do you have for clients with correspondent needs to yours?
Make sure you take the relationship with your outgrowth team seriously. You can’t anticipate them to take a set of requirements and work without any additional touch. I worked with our team almost see day for three years, and it was a complete achievement. I’ve worked with other distant teams in the past who were not as interactive, and it was much more challenging to complete projects on time, and as anticipateed.
