Introductory information

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the ruler of Designthex. I freelance as a UX designer taking clients from design through to the end outgrowth of apps, websites and other IT fruits.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with Rosberry?

I was working with the University of New South Wales on a project for their home-modification section. They had a need to adjoin with nation facing disqualification or aging challenges and needed to modify their homes. There was a need for advice on the many types of grip rails, different heights they can be installed at, and so on. It’s a intricate area which nation don’t frequently ponder almost until they have an pressing need. This app would help them through the initial determination on modifying their homes, restructuring them so that they can take help.

Provided solution

What was the aim of their involvement?

The aim of the project was to take our concept and make it affable. It was done through a series of co-design workshops in Australia between Rosberry and nation in our demographic. From there, we created initial wireframes and continued to evolve the project creating end-to-end UX design. Together, we went through outgrowth into testing and propeled to Google Play and the Apple Store, working with my co-designer and me see step of the way.

The app was designed for both Android and iOS conrunningly which was a challenge. It’s a determination-processing tool that guides users on what they need to modify within their homes. It’s a relatively simplified workflow with the leading screen providing a choice on where the user needs help. The second determination is what precisely they need help with (are they touch wavering, for sample). The app will prepare a choice of recommended fruits which will fit that need along with exprogramations on what each fruit is good for, when it should be used, what measurements need to be made, and so on. There is a detailed process almost each specific fruit, and it allows nation to jump in and out of the workflow in order to explore different general items. If they make a determination to buy, they can leave the app, and go to the recommended places for finding those natural fruits. Inside the app, we also have measure feedback forms and contacts. The other major part is video, with four clips of nation within the demographic explaining how they’ve done their modifications and how that has contacted their lives.

How did you come to work with Rosberry?

I establish them many years ago through Elance. I have been working as a project and program director for over a decade and Rosberry has been sole. As a team, they hear to what my intentions are instead of just looking at the requirements. They have challenged the wireframes I’ve sent them over time and took the project to the next level making it even better. As a UX designer myself, I have enjoyed working with a team that excels in this area. Their condition is phenomenal.

How much have you invested with Rosberry?

The cost of their work on this particular fruit was AU$25,000. [$19,000]

What is the status of this engagement?

I began the initial dicsussions with Rosberry almost this project in late October of 2016 and the design was began at the end of December. A leading working rendering was released within six weeks for testing. The fruit was officially propeled on the 19th of May 2017.

Results achieved

Could you share any evidence that would prove the fruitivity, condition of work, or the contact of the engagement?

We saw over 500 downloads within the leading two weeks behind propel. This may not seem like a lot but for this demographic, it’s a huge number. It’s not what could be named a common or exciting question.

The minister for age care and disqualification of New South Wales University was present at our propel along with 50 other nation and media coverage. It was phenomenal to see this sort of interest.

How did Rosberry accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

We have come close on a particular propel, but Rosberry hasn’t missed a deadline. Their accomplishance has been better than most of the other teams I’ve worked with. They haven’t cut corners by making imexcellent code. There have been some occasions when the team contacted me on Skype to let me know that a deliverable would be delayed owing they establish a bug in the code.

I am a project director myself, and I love being managed back. Rosberry was good at interacting progress which relaxed the overall work. I didn’t have to harass almost asking for a status report, and was always pinged on Skype with our running standing. Rosberry had a laid back but uniform way of care me in the loop.

Once time, we reached a sticky locality, and they worked the complete weekend and delivered code to me at 2 AM in order to have a introduction at 9 AM the next day.

What did you find most forcible almost Rosberry?

Attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge the developed outcome, versus the single specifications. Rosberry has looked over the surface.

In this particular project, there was a very specific additional challenge in making the app usable by the visually impaired. This was the leading time that Rosberry had worked on a full accessibility app so it had to pass hue blindness tests and seething else. They stepped up to the mark, did their own investigation, took what I supplied, and went well over that, making sure that the app would be compliant. They didn’t simply want to pass accessibility, but to stick to best practices for this area.

Are there any areas Rosberry could better?

No. They designed some beautiful wireframes. Rosberry and I were challenged by our co-design team, and we’ve had to sfrequently the design a lot in order to shape almost their desires. Rosberry handled this challenge very well and had the flexibility to not only push for the right way to do something but to also make sure that the client was lucky with the results they were given.
