Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the CMO of a organisation that develops tech accessories for pets.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with AndPlus?
We designed a keen collar for dogs, which integrates elements of keen home and wearable technology. It comes with fun, attrnimble tools and features, which allow owners to track their dogs’ location, wellness, and agility, and to make dog ownership a pliant easier.
The fruit relies on confused backend software, and we wanted a team to help with Android and iOS app outgrowth.
Provided solution
What was the aim of their involvement?
They designed a lot of the backend for the features and functionality attached to the collar. We worked unitedly on soon app outgrowth, and they played a bigger roll in the second half of our outgrowth process. The app has three location states, which the collar connects to via Bluetooth.
If the dog is at home alone, the collar sends hourly updates to the cloud via the base standing. Those updates report levels of agility and other information to your phone.
When you invade the house, your phone outranks the base standing and the dog invades a with-you location state. This allows you to empower features like turning on outdoor lights or using training sounds. The with-you state sends firm updates to the app board, and stays nimble on walks, at home, or in the car, as long as the collar connects with your phone.
If the collar can’t connect to the base standing (at home), or your phone (with you), it fires up GPS and sends location information to the cloud. Some parents give their children an crisis cellphone for their own quiet of mind. The collar is basically a cellphone for your dog.
What is the team dynamic?
We collaborated at smallest three or four key developers on their side, and we have a project director on our website. We used Jira to track sprints and align our priorities. During the create, we met once a week to review and pivot as needed. In accession to ticket tracking in Jira, the engineers used Slack to adjoin.
How did you come to work with AndPlus?
Another firm presentd us, and AndPlus pitched some of their services to us. We knew they had a good backend and server-side technical reputation. The server interaction with the cloud and the tracking unit in the phone are both confused, and we hired them based upon their reputation.
How much have you invested with them?
I’d estimate we’ve spent almost $500,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began attrnimble with them heavily in 2016, at the end of that summer. We’ve just given them another aim of work and are programning other projects with them. We have new features we want to present into the app, and are quiet working unitedly.
Results achieved
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the contact of the engagement?
Our sales have grown see week since we propeled the app last spring. The leading propel of any pet fruit involves stabilizing the systems and fixing bugs, which we’ve done. We’re amplifying the propel for the fourth region.
Amazon reviews rate the fruit at almost a 3.7. We just released the collar on Chewy, and soon reviews are at 4.8.
How did AndPlus accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They’re interaction was very good.
What did you find most forcible almost them?
They work fast through different technical challenges. They’re very good at estimating an efficient timeline and number of hours.
Are there any areas they could better?
They could better their picturesque design capabilities. Their UI/UX [User Interface/User Experience] is good, and we’ve gotten to a good locate, but design from a picturesques standpoint could be stronger.
