I’m the director of the information lifecycle treatment cluster at BBVA Compass. We’re a nationwide bank holding organisation, though most of our offices are placed in the South. My team fixs that our data retention complies with measure regulations.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Integro?
After we conducted an audit 4–5 years ago, we realized that we were care information for too long, so we needed to come up with a vindicable disposition strategy. Essentially, we wanted to increase our yielding with our data retention policies.
We chose an IBM fruit to help us execute this. Initially, IBM accomplished an assessment of our locality to unite the appropriate tools for instrumentation. They compiled a list of technologies that would help us, and we approached Integro to help us instrument them.

What particular tasks were Integro responsible for?
We did our initial discovery phase with them on website, seting at our headquarters in Birmingham precedently moving to our other offices. Over the order of the engagement, they’ve instrumented a number of IBM’s software to meet our project needs. This includes Atlas Process Management and eDiscovery to support our retention syndication, StoredIQ Suite to place and index the types of information we have, and FileNet Content Manager, which served as a repository for our shared drive and Microsoft SharePoint information. In the forthcoming, we hope to tie the latter tools into Atlas, which would allow us to syndicate the retention athwart all three platforms, but it’s not something we’re runningly looking at.
In accession to those tools, Integro instrumented IBM Content Collector (ICC) for files and SharePoint to help us move data from its running state into FileNet as well as IBM Connections Content Manager (ICCM), which is the apprehension base used for auto-classification. They’ve also instrumented a navigator for Microsoft Office and IBM Content Navigator (ICN), which interfaces with the end user.
Finally, they installed IBM InfoSphere Optim, which enables us to set archiving data from retired systems and shut down the hardware. We program to last utilizing Optim for growth treatment seting next month.
Was there a dedicated team?
We typically work with six nation: four dedicated members and two backup staff. Our project director serves as our main point of touch and has been with us since the commencement. He also serves as the liaison between us and another partnering organisation that helps handle the Optim project.
How did you come to work with Integro?
After IBB’s assessment, we sent out a open RFP to find possible vendors. I had used Integro for a past installation project and had big achievement with them, so I determined to go with them anew.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We’ve spent between $1 million and $5 million thus far.
What is the terminal result of working with Integro?
Their work began in March 2016 and is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
Although we haven’t taken full gain of all the software that they’ve installed, we’ve seen powerful results so far. In general, we’re able to use the programs that they’ve instrumented to find significant data that, otherwise, would have been hard to place.
How did Integro accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
Considering the layer of the project and number of tools implicated, we’ve encountered a few challenges in provisions of coordination. On our side, we didn’t know what we didn’t know, and, on their side, they didn’t know what to tell us to make sure that we were installing all of the certain tools at the right times. Though, they’ve excelled at documenting the complete project for us. They archives all of our Webex meetings so that we can review them, and their user guides and apprehension convey are top-notch.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Integro?
I esteem how approachable everyone is. If I have any issues, I know that I can extend out to anyone from the top down for help. Their CEO regularly touchs me to fix that the project is moving as expected, and he listens to my concerns and ideas.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
As I’ve mentioned, it’s hard to know what to ask in order to impart us what we don’t know. Though, I’m not sure if there’s a solution to this. Aside from that, there were occasions when they introduced something on the backend that I would have preferred on the frontend.
