Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I work for the nonprofit San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Studio 22?
The website we had for separate years was corrupted, we lost all of our full (including thousands of pictures) and couldn',t even approach the website. We were able to put up a stop-gap website, but we needed to revamp our website in full from the ground up in a fairly brief time of time. That gave us a reason to rethink what we veritably wanted to do with our website, so we looked for a organisation that could createit for us.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Studio 22 Design responsible for?
We told them what we wanted our website to do. Then, based on a detailed questionnaire almost our goals, our many constituents, and how we wanted adjoin with those constituents, they sketched out a wireframe to address our concerns. Then, they built a new WordPress website for us.
Was there a dedicated team?
The CEO was our first point of touch. He coordinated the work of the design team.
What were the main reasons to select Studio 22 Design among the others?
We wanted to stay local. There are a lot design firms in Silicon Valley, but most do tech design. I researched local shops whose web designs had the kind of aesthetic that would work for a nonprofit. We interviewed three aspirant firms and Studio 22 came out on top owing somehow their aesthetic merged that of a high-tech structure and one of an arts structure. We could see the beginnings of our website in their portfolio.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We spent approachly $25,000.
What is the terminal result of working with Studio 22 Design?
We began working with them in May 2017 and the website went live in September 2017.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
Our members are bestowing a lot more time on this website than they did with the other one. The longer they bestow on our website, the more information they',re getting and the more they',re interacting with us. Our goal is always to get them to look at the website and then come in owing we',re a visual arts structure.
How do you score Studio 22 Design’s treatment experiences?
They delivered on time unless we failed to get them what they needed. The CEO was attentive and always useful whichever in individual or remotely (primarily via Basecamp). When we did meet in individual, they were very easy to deal with.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Studio 22 Design?
We asked them to come to our board meeting where there were a lot of keen and tech-savvy nation. Studio 22 presented the complete website to the board very professionally and in a way that both the non-tech and the tech nation could tell to. We appreciated the fact that they can set nation of varying levels of knowledge of web outgrowth and media strategy at ease.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
We had two platform options: proprietary software that could do “idiotic” things and form very interactive websites versus something more transmitted. In going with WordPress, you select to forgo a wacky, very contemporary website and go with something that is a pliant bit more transmitted, but easier to maintain.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Be clear almost our goals and take time to fit. They will design a website that addresses your see need, but you have to tell them what those needs are, what you',re trying to adjoin, and what the interaction is. If you aren’t clear, they can’t execute, but if you are, you’ll get precisely what you asked for.
