Zaption is an interactive video acquireing platform that allows you to take any video and make it interactive and more attractive by adding pictures, text, or questions and then tracking what nation acquire with those videos.
What is your position?
I am the preceding CEO. Zaption was acquired by Workday last week [July 2016], so I am no longer with the organisation.
Desired goal
What business challenge were you trying to address with Vrrb Interactive?
Vrrb helped us do a number of things. One, Vrrb helped us design different aspects of our open website to adjoin our value statement to our possible clients plainly. More significantly, though, they also designed key UI/UX [user interface/user experience] elements for our web app, which included the soon stages of our offering platform, our publishing platform, and our analytics. They were key to helping us design all those different interfaces for the leading rendering of our app.

We worked very closely with Vrrb at all stages of the design process. In most cases, we would lay out the technical requirements of whatever page we were designing and send those to Vrrb. Vrrb then interpreted those and came back with wireframes. Sometimes, that meant imagining entirely new interfaces for new functionality in the app.
We then discussed those wireframes and shared what we wanted to changed. That led to artwork that we also went through an iterative process to regood. They listened to our feedback and shared their own opinions, which led to terminal artwork that our developers then took and integrated it into the app. That was the general process we went through with them. There were variations at times owing, sometimes, we did the wireframes and they just jumped right into the terminal artwork. Other times, we weren',t doing full pages. We just needed to redo some icons or revamp a particular interface that had already been in the leading rendering or in the beta rendering.
We did some other pliant projects with them like a general analysis of our website, just to unify not only the navigation, but also to unify different visual elements, hue schemes, and so on. We also had them sync through to see how the website could be used in different modes strategically, mobile mode, answering, and so on. We used them as our full creative agency in the soon days.
How did you come to work with Vrrb Interactive?
They were already working with our CTO when I leading came onboard. I can',t recollect now whether they were referred to us or we just sought them out.
Could you prepare a perception of the size of this start in financial provisions?
It was $50,000 to $200,000 total athwart a couple of years.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
We began working with them roughly in June 2013 through June 2015. Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
What I can say is anecdotally we believed from the very commencement that design was a strategic gain and it was nice to the achievement of our app, especially in the education field, which is where most of our clients were.
We felt that the app had to be very easy to use, and it had to be very visually appealing. It had to feel very strong – at the same time, you could acquire it in a couple of minutes. We heard from many of our clients that we achieved that with the help of Vrrb. People constantly say, ",Wow, I can',t believe you built such a beautiful app for educators. We don',t usually get condition of this kind for us.", That',s probably the best thing I could quantify.
How did Vrrb Interactive accomplish from a project treatment restpoint?
They were big. They worked fast. That',s one of the things we liked almost them. They followed through athwart the board. We would work with them on new projects almost on a weekly or biweekly basis. As one project was wrapping up, we were always uniteing the requirements for the next project.
What distinguishes Vrrb Interactive from other preparers?
We worked with other design agencies precedently Vrrb, but one of the reasons that we stuck with Vrrb for so long was owing we ponder they are very professional, and they have a distinctive phraseology that helped us rest out.
Actually, the condition was so high, and we were so lucky with their work, that it took us a full year and a half of looking almost to find somebody in-house that could match Vrrb',s condition and despatch and could work well with us. Is there anything Vrrb Interactive could have improved or done differently?
This is not sole to them, but they could be better almost interacting when things are busy on their end, so we know if there',s going to be a delay of some sort. Most of the time, they were spot on liberatey and very early in liberateing designs.
Another thing is to make sure that we always know who the first touch is. There was a new individual that came onboard almost halfway through and it took a pliant while to work that individual in. Those are less, less things. Certainly, we stuck with them so long simply owing they were top notch in provisions of condition and interaction, and we veritably loved working with them. We reflection they were very easy to work with and took feedback very well, which is significant.
