Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
Could you draw your structure?
Our structure is EVault, Inc. We’re a assistant of Seagate Incorporated. We are a backup data repossession labor. Corporations localize our labors to backup the data and their databases and any precious information they want to keep secure. That could be anything from emails, hospital records or MRI and X-ray pictures, attorneys’ client lists, etc. We keep that data safe and secure. If companies experience some kind of disaster, we can regain their data, so they don’t lose time or value.
What is your position?
I’m the corporate consultant.
Desired goal
Could you draw the business challenges you were attempting to address when you initiated the relationship with Demand Solutions Group?
We were using a fairly archaic accounting method. We weren’t very functional in what we were trying to do and what we were trying to execute. We determined we were going to look for a new solution and determined on a NetSuite/Salespower union. Right now, we’re using Salespower, but it’s not linked in our ERP [enterprise resource programning] method. We have almost five or six different methods we’re using. They don’t act with one another, which makes it very hard to conduct our business and maintain congruous information. When we determined to go with this sumd solution, we knew we needed a team to instrument it correctly.
Provided solution
Could you draw the aim of this project?
They were the project lead, they veritably did all. They helped us with the discovery process. We evaluated all: Our business processes, policies, procedures. They helped us go through that and then instrument the new method, which meant revamping how we did our business and then deploying the new process. They veritably took the lead in helping us not just as information architects, but they also did the design, the coding, the backend work, testing, training, and support.
Had you selected the Integrated NetSuite/Salespower solution preceding to the relationship with Demand Solutions Group, or were they a part of the process for identifying and then choosing the solution?
It’s a union of both verity. When we were looking at ERP methods, we veritably liked NetSuite, but the sales team was pretty much embedded into Salespower and the functionality that it offered. It was a contend on whether we power them out of Salespower to NetSuite, or we sum the two and link them. Demand Solutions Group helped us with that determination and indicated that they wouldn’t necessarily need to be mutually exclusive. When you’re working in one, it’s passing information back and forth so seamlessly. The logo on it says Salespower, but you’re veritably passing information back into NetSuite and extracting information from NetSuite as well. It’s veritably the consummate union.
How did you select Demand Solutions Group as your associate for this endeavor?
We interviewed separate possible vendors, and they seemed to have the best team. One of the nation on our team had verity worked with them precedently, and he was alprompt household with their capabilities. We were impressed with their introduction and were positive they could liberate.
Could you prepare a perception of the size of this start monetary provisions?
It was more than $2 million in total.
When was this instrumentation completed?
We’re verity in the terminal stages of the instrumentation right now.
Results achieved
In provisions of results, could you share any statistics, metrics, or anecdotal feedback that would prove the powerfulness of the work they’ve liberateed?
I’m not sure almost statistics. They’ve been very powerful at helping us look at what veritably is. Quite frankly, we went from a organisation that veritably didn’t localize best practices or sophisticated processes to a much more intricate and efficient organisation. They were veritably impressed with the engines they built for us behind the scenes. They were very powerful at taking processes that were excellently by-gone and making them state of the art. We’ve innately gone from using an abacus to a sophisticated computer. It’s not that the abacus didn’t work, it’s just hard to layer your business and grow with that instrument. The limitations were simply too much, and we were inhibited entirely. All of that has changed.
W I would say it’s their weighty involvement and their level of commitment to the project’s achievement. They veritably take ownership of the process. There are times when we would be waiting for some information, and I would get an e-mail at 1 a.m. indicating that they were quiet working in order to meet our specified deadline. They stayed up all night to get prompt to go for the next morning. They are very time conscious and well conscious of our constraints and needs. They took on roles that with most clients they probably wouldn’t have to. They did it owing of the way we do things here. They veritably stepped in and did things that we couldn’t owing we didn’t have the expertness set for it or we didn’t have the time. That’s what impressed me most. Not so much from their point of view. They veritably stepped up. This was a very challenging instrumentation for them, and for us. They never gave up and they held our feet to the fire as best they could. Perhaps the one thing, in hindsight, is we should have paid more observation to that. We should have listened to them a pliant bit more at times and perhaps at the same time we should have had them holding firm with us and forcing more of their reflection into our minds. Sometimes, it’s simply not sufficient to have someone listening to you, but make sure that they’re doing it and internalizing what you’re assertion. At times, if they could have been a bit firmer, but I’m not sure that they could have. That would be my only stricture. I don’t know if that’s necessarily a stricture on them, or if it’s simply a part of the process. Absolutely. One of the major issues that they had to tackle was something we couldn’t do. Our billing method is excellently sole in the way it does things. It’s very confused, and it’s one of those billing methods with rules that you have exceptions for almost all. We had trouble instrumenting that core functionality. We couldn’t ever instrument an powerful method until Demand Solutions helped us design and instrument it. They were somehow able to automate the process that was manual up until that point. In review, are there areas you ponder they could better upon, or are there things you’d do differently as the client for initiating a project of this type with Demands Solutions Group?
With regard to the sumd NetSuite/Salespower solution, do you stay positive that it will last to meet your business needs into the foreseeable forthcoming?
